After returning from the royal capital, I spent my time relaxing.
Perhaps it was thanks to the King and Cliff that I was able to spend my time relaxing like this.
I would like to just relax and do nothing, but I couldn't stay lazy forever.
Fina asked me, "Aren't you going out today too?" In response, I said "I'll go out tomorrow." But before I could, I decided to show up at the adventurer's guild.
If I got an interesting quest, I might accept it.
When I entered the adventurer's guild, it was crowded as usual.
"Rulina-san, Gil-san. Once that quest is finished, please accept it." (Helen)
"Um, I'll think about it." (Rulina)
"That means you’ll think about it, but you won’t accept it." (Helen)
Helen-san, the receptionist, is questioning Rulina-san and Gil. However, Rulina-san stood in front of Gil, and she seemed to be trying to prevent Gil from saying something strange.
It has been a while since I saw Deborane and Lanz in the capital, but it seemed like Rulina-san and Gil were working together here.
"We will only record the quest if it is successful, so even if you fail it will not be recorded on your guild card, so please do so." (Helen)
"Let's talk about that after we get back. Well then, we'll go and do a quest. Gil, let's go." (Rulina)
"Rulina-san!" (Helen)
Helen-san was shouting, but Rulina-san pretended not to hear, pulled Gil, and came towards me at the exit.
"Oh, Yuna-chan, are you working too?" (Rulina)
"I was hoping to get an interesting quest." (Yuna)
"An interesting quest... In that case, I have something just right for you." (Rulina)
Rulina-san thought for a moment, then smiled and called out to Helen-san.
"Helen-san! Yuna-chan will listen to what I said earlier." (Rulina)
"Rulina-san?" (Yuna)
"Then we'll go to work, then you can take care of yourself." (Rulina)
Rulina-san took Gil with her and left the adventurer's guild.
When I looked at Helen-san, she was beckoning me.
I didn't want to go, though. But she was smiling and waiting for me to come.
Looked like I had no choice but to go.
"Yuna-san, it's been a while. It's work. Right now, I have a request that is perfect for Yuna-san." (Helen)
"Please make a quest other than what Helen-san is thinking of right now." (Yuna)
"Yuna-san, that’s terrible." (Helen)
After all, it was a quest that Rulina-san avoided as if she were running away. Even I didn't want to accept such a quest.
"Please just listen to me." (Helen)
Helen-san grabbed my bear puppet.
"It's just a story. I didn't say I'd accept it. If I had to accept the offer, I wouldn't." (Yuna)
Rulina-san even refused. I didn't think she couldn't refuse just because being asked.
"It is okay" (Helen)
"It's a promise. So, what happened?" (Yuna)
"Yuna-san, do you believe in ghosts?" (Helen)
She asked me with a serious face about the existence of ghost.
"Ghost? Just to confirm, are ghosts of dead people?" (Yuna)
"Yes, that's right. That's the ghost." (Helen)
This world also had the concept of ghosts.
I had never talked about this topic with anyone before, so I had no idea.
"I've never seen it, so I'm rather negative. But that doesn't mean I'm going to deny it outright." (Yuna)
There were mysterious things in this world that could not be proven by science. Science couldn't prove that I came to another world, and it was even more mysterious than the existence of ghosts.
"What happened to that ghost? Did it appear by any chance?" (Yuna)
First of all, are there ghosts in this world?
It was a world where strange things like monsters happened. It wouldn't be strange if there were ghosts though.
"Yes. A ghost will appear." (Helen)

"I can't believe it, but is the request to subdue a ghost? No, that's impossible. Subjugating ghosts." (Yuna)
As expected, ghosts were outside of my area of expertise.
To begin with, I had never tried to subdue a ghost, and attacking a ghost with weapons had no effect. Did the magic work?
I didn't have any holy power or saintly power. All I had was the bear power.
Besides, wasn't exterminating a ghost the job of priests and exorcists?
"Please don't say things like that. I just need confirmation." (Helen)
"Just to confirm?" (Yuna)
"If possible, subjugation..." (Helen)
Helen-san's true feelings leaked out.
"I'm sorry. I can't do it, so leave it to someone else." (Yuna)
I could see why Rulina-san ran away.
If possible, I didn't want to get involved either.
As I tried to walk away, Helen-san reached out and grabbed my bear suit.
"Please wait" (Helen)
"No, it's really impossible to subdue a ghost. Please ask other adventurers." (Yuna)
"I've already asked various adventurers, but it seems like they've heard rumors that a ghost actually appears, so they're avoiding it." (Helen)
"Rumors?" (Yuna)
"It's a certain mansion, but the owner sold it to a commercial guild, and it has been abandoned for the past few months. The commercial guild decided to sell it and was cleaning the mansion. Instead, a woman's voice says, 'Help me~' and 'Listen to me~'." (Helen)
Helen-san told the story while incorporating her acting skills.
"And there are people who can hear and people who can't hear. Those who can hear get scared, and those who can't hear get scared because the people who can hear make noise." (Helen)
It could be scary if others could hear you but you couldn't.
"But just because of the voice doesn't mean it's a ghost, right?" (Yuna)
"Of course, that's not all. I saw lights flickering, the curtains swayed even though the windows were closed, and vases on the shelves rattled." (Helen)

"By the way, have any adventurers seen this?" (Yuna)
"Yes, they have" (Helen)
"I'm going home." (Yuna)
I decided to run away.
I would be in trouble if I were to be possessed by a ghost. Most importantly, I couldn't go to the bathroom alone at night. When I went to the toilet, Kumayuru and Kumakyu must be with me. As an adult woman, I wanted to avoid that.
"Please wait." (Helen)
Helen-san also grabbed my clothes to keep me from running away.
"That ghost wasn't someone's prank. They used light magic or a light magic stone." (Yuna)
"Who is it?" (Helen)
"They don’t want to give the mansion to someone else, so they're surprising people and kicking people out?" (Yuna)
Try saying something you had seen in a manga or novel somewhere.
"For what reason?" (Helen)
"Also, to lower the value of the mansion?" (Yuna)
If it was a haunted house, it might not sell and the price might go down. There was a possibility that they are trying to cause a ghost disturbance.
"But there are people who can hear ghost voices and people who can't." (Helen)
That was true, but this was a different world. There was a way.
"Hmm. Maybe use wind magic." (Yuna)
"Wind magic?" (Helen)
Voices and sounds were transmitted through vibrations. If we used wind magic wisely, we should be able to carry it far and limit its range.
"What? You're telling an interesting story." (Guildmaster)
"Guildmaster?" (Helen)
While we were talking, the guildmaster appeared from behind Helen.
"So, can you do that with wind magic?" (Guildmaster)
I explained about wind magic.
"It may be possible, but I think it would be difficult due to the detailed work." (Guildmaster)
Well, I didn't think it's enough to just use wind magic normally.
I tried it out with the guildmaster and Helen.
"I don't think guildmaster can hear me now." (Yuna)
"Even though you’re so close?" (Helen)
Even though it was close, it was not close. About 2m away. Even so, the voice was still far enough to be heard.
The distance between me and Helen-san was also 2 meters.
We tried to have a proper conversation.
"Does guildmaster have a job?" (Yuna)
"He does" (Helen)
"In the first place, we should ask guildmaster to subdue ghosts." (Yuna)
"That was no good. Guildmaster is scared of ghosts." (Helen)
I looked at the huge guildmaster.

Helen-san and I looked at guildmaster again.
"Wait a minute, what were you two talking about earlier?" (Guildmaster)
It seemed guildmaster didn't hear our conversation.
I broke the wind magic.
"Guildmaster, were you sure you didn't hear me?" (Helen)
"I could see you were talking to me, but I couldn't hear you." (Guildmaster)
"That's amazing. Then someone used wind magic to deal with the ghost." (Helen)
"That's right. You can also use wind magic to make the curtains sway." (Yuna)
It seemed that they were both satisfied with one of the possibilities I showed them.
"That's why it's okay, I guess. I'll go home." (Yuna)
They could leave the truth to other adventurers.
"Wait a minute. What you're talking about right now is Yuna-san's imagination, and you don't understand it yet." (Helen)
As Helen-san said, it was possible if you use wind magic, but it didn't prove that ghosts didn't exist. There was a possibility that ghosts were actually exist.
"Then, Yuna-san, please go check it out." (Helen)
As I had said many times, wind magic was one possibility. It was only a matter of imagination. This did not prove that there were no ghosts.
I would hate it if there really were ghosts.
By the way, I hated horror.
I didn't understand people who enjoyed watching horror movies and enjoyed them even though they said they were scary.
If I looked at it as a couple, I could kind of understand it. But I didn't know how it feels to watch it alone.
If I watched it, I would never be able to go to the bathroom alone late at night.
As I was thinking about how to refuse, guildmaster and Helen-san chased after me.
"A magician like you would be able to tell if the other person is using magic." (Guildmaster)
"I don't mind just checking to see if the other person is using magic. I'm begging you." (Helen)
Helen-san asked with her hands together.
"Um, I have to go home soon." (Yuna)
I was running away.
"Please." (Helen)
But Helen-san wouldn't let me go.
"You're requesting to a weak girl." (Yuna)
Once again, I let go of my words and ran away.
"A weak girl won't defeat Goblin King or Black Viper by herself." (Helen)
My escape route was blocked by Helen-san's words.
"And what about this?" (Yuna)
"I just need to confirm." (Helen)
Helen-san stared at me intently.
"Okay. I'll just go. If there really is a ghost, I'll run away." (Yuna)
"Thank you very much" (Helen)
Helen-san and guildmaster looked happy at my words.
No one really accepted it.
