Volume 6: Kingdom of Izumo
Chapter 98

The Oni God and the Second Transcendent

Published: 13 October 2024

Author's Note

It's a battle with the Oni God.

It's less than 5 pages long (major spoilers).

There are basically no long battle scenes in this work.

Since the Oni God would wake up if he was attacked even once, we decided to attack him as soon as possible at the same time as he woke up. With telepathy, it's easy to coordinate simultaneous attacks.

First, since Maria and Sera's sword attacks were more powerful than magic, they got as close as possible and used [Flying Slash]. Since the Oni God was sitting, it seemed like it would do more damage to target his upper body than his lower body. Their attacks hit Oni God's head without missing the mark. Maria was using [Barrier Magic], and Sera was using the rented [Sky Running] to move through the air.

I had Dora flew in the sky with and then used [Flying] to charge up [Dragon Strike] to the limit and shoot. An opponent who didn't move for a long period of time was an ideal prey for [Dragon Strike]. Dora's breath burned a large area of the Oni God's front torso.

Sakura and Mio, riding Leaf and Mikazuki respectively, launched long-range attacks from the left and right. By the way, I called Leaf and Mikazuki, but I didn't call Blue because she didn't have work. She was a little depressed. Sakura unleashed a powerful level 10 magic spell, and Mio simultaneously shot ten arrows imbued with magical power to the fullest. Both had large openings, but this was the most powerful attack they could carry out. Furthermore, this was the first time for both of them to launch such a powerful attack.

On a side note, the most powerful attack of all the ones just now was Dora's charged [Dragon Strike]. As expected, the bigger the gap, the more powerful the attack.

All of the attacks landed at the same time, reducing the Oni God's HP to a certain extent. Ah, the Oni God in particular had an insanely high HP. Even with a full-power attack like this, it only took about one-fifth of his HP down—Even for someone like me, it would be hard to defeat him with a single punch to the stomach (I didn't it's impossible).

"That's an incredible attack... But it doesn't seem to be working very well." (Tooru)

"Well, his HP didn't decrease that much either." (Jin)

Tooru's eyes widen in shock. She seemed shocked both at my comrades being able to launch attacks of that magnitude, and the Oni God remained unscathed even after receiving those attacks.

—DOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!—

Having been attacked, the Oni God awakened and activated [Oni God's Roar]. The roar that emanated from his gigantic body shook the air and was accompanied by a tremendous impact, so powerful that it blew away the rubble that was left of the castle and everything that had been carelessly placed around the castle town. Birds flying overhead could be seen stunned by the impact and plummeting to the ground.

I guess I'll have fried chicken tonight...

"Th-That's amazing. It's quite a shock..." (Tooru)

"My ears[1]... hurt.... My name... is Mimi...." (Mimi)

Tooru and Mimi leaned back upon hearing the roar and said that. I didn't think Mimi needed to make fun of her own name.

This roar seemed to have the effect of corroding the mind, but it didn't work on those who become my subordinates because they had resistance due to the effect of [Avatar]. Ah, in other words it worked on normal people...

(Master, the residents who had evacuated fell into a state of panic upon hearing the roar just now.) (Maid)

(So that's what happened after all…) (Jin)

After receiving a telepathic message from a maid who accompanied the residents of Endo to the evacuation site, I realized that the situation had turned out just as I had expected.

According to the maids, the effects of [Oni God's Roar] varied, with many people going into a state of panic and becoming violent. It seemed that the lower the level, or rather the lower the status, the worse the situation they fell into.

Hmm, if his influence is this strong, would it have been better to simply get rid of him by stealing his status?

[In that case, there was a high chance that you wouldn't be able to obtain [Transcendence], but is that okay?] (Alta)

...It's no good. I can't give up on [Transcendence] that's right in front of me. I'm sorry, but I'll have the residents of Endo sacrifice themselves. I guess I should at least provide some aftercare.

(It seems that the panic state can be cured by knocking them unconscious once, so please deal with the ones in the worst state first.) (Jin)

(Understand) (Maid)

Now, let's return to the battle with the Oni God.

When the Oni God woke up, the first thing he did was trying to stand up. Of course he was, because there's no way you could move properly while sitting down.

However, that's as we expected. Just as he tried to put both hands on the ground to get up, Sakura and Mio, who were on either side of him, attacked his arms with all their might. A little later, Maria and Sera also unleashed [Flying Slash] on his arms.

—GUUUOOOOO!!!???—

All of the attacks hit the Oni God directly on his arms and he couldn't bear it and pulled his hands back. Even if the damage wasn't that great, if it hits your hand with a non-negligible force, you'd be forced to pull it back. Yes, our basic strategy was "Seal the Oni God while he's sitting down." Because if he stood up, the damage would obviously increase...

At that point, the Oni God clearly recognized my companions as his enemies. Up until now, the Oni God had given off a vague vibe of, "My body hurts when I wake up," but from here I could see that this had changed to an air of, "That hurts, you bastard."

—GUGAAAAAAAAAA!!!—

Once he recognized them as enemies, the Oni God showed no hesitation whatsoever, and while still sitting, he swung his arms around and punched Dora who was in front of him. Instead of avoiding it, Dora decided to block it with the shield she was holding. Considering the difference in their physiques, it was definitely not something that could be blocked, but in this world, the status seemed to be more important than the laws of physics, and the Oni God's punch was easily stopped.

—GOGAAAA!?—

There was clear shock on the Oni God's face. For us, it's like a fly taking a flyswatter.

To begin with, this Oni God had ridiculously high HP, but his attack power wasn't that high. Of course, against normal creatures, that's probably more than enough attack power, but looking at it from the perspective of those of us who had raised our stats this far, we couldn't help but said, "Isn't its attack power low considering his level and large size?" As I could see, it was only enough for Dora to block it with her shield. And because she was flying, her legs were unable to brace.

While the Oni God was shocked, a series of attacks from Maria arrived from behind. It seemed like Maria was using my special move (temporary), [Continuous Flying Slashes] (Continuously firing [Flying Slash]). It seemed like Maria had a tendency to want to copy my techniques. It's not like imitation was prohibited, so I didn't mind it, but...

—GO-GOGAAA!?—

This time the Oni God's eyes widen as he was attacked from behind.

Oh, I might not have mentioned this, but I had decided to have Maria handled the attacks from behind. Having the Oni God in a sitting position would make him harder to deal with attacks from behind. Since Maria was going to deliver the finishing blow, I thought it would be best to have him in the position where it would be easiest to attack. In front of the Oni God were Dora and Sera, who were holding shields, Sakura to Oni God's right, and Mio to his left.

I wondered if it's strange for me to order the hero to attack from behind. Of course, since this was my instruction, Maria readily agreed.

The Oni God turned around and saw Maria standing on top of the barrier created by [Barrier Magic] and attempted to attack. However, attacking the rear was already difficult, so what would happen if other directions were neglected? Naturally, attacks began to rain down from all sides.

—DOGOOOOOONNN!!!???—

Due to his large size, the Oni God's movements were inevitably sluggish, and he was extremely vulnerable to attacks from multiple directions. It's a different story if you went on the offensive, but if you just sit back and couldn't attack properly, most of your advantages would be eliminated. To put it bluntly, it's nothing more than a slightly hard punching bag.

Ten minutes later, the somewhat hard punching bag was successfully destroyed.

When the Oni God's HP reached 0, his giant body disappeared in an instant. And just as it was written in the status notes, in the place where the Oni God had been, all that remained were the three that had made up the Oni God—[Great Spirit], [Substitute], and [Oni's Soul].

Now that Maria and her group had returned after collecting the three items, it's time to check the results.

"So, both of Maria's weapons are now god tier?" (Jin)

"Yes, they have transformed into [Sunlight Divine Sword - Solar Blaze] and [Moonlight Divine Sword - Lunar Light]." (Maria)

[Sunlight Divine Sword - Solar Blaze]
Category: One-handed sword
Rarity: Mythical
Note: When equipped with [Moonlight Divine Sword - Lunar Light], will greatly increase camouflage sword, indestructible, ambition. Fixed ownership.

[Moonlight Divine Sword - Lunar Light]
Category: Dagger
Rarity: Mythical
Note: When equipped with [Sunlight Sword - Solar Blaze], will greatly increase camouflage sword, indestructible, ambition. Fixed ownership.

To my surprise, the two weapons that Maria had were both transformed into mythical (God-level). It seemed that equipment sets were strengthened together. Thinking about it, my sheath was also strengthened along with the sword. Maybe that's how it's supposed to work. Neither Alta nor I knew anything about this, so it was a good learning experience.

"In that case, would it be better to strengthen the set equipment? Next time, should I have Sera, who also has a set equipment, deliver the finishing blow...?" (Jin)

"Well, that's going to be fun!" (Sera)

Since Sera also had a set of greatsword and great shield equipped, it would be a good idea to strengthen her.

"Hmm~, if that's the case, then Mio-chan will have to wait until later~. What a shame..." (Mio)

Mio, who didn't have any particular preference for weapons but desires a mythical (God-level) weapon in game terms, was left hanging her head.

"I don't mind if you are not strengthening me, so if there's another opportunity after Sera-chan, please make it for Mio-chan or Dora-chan..." (Sakura)

(Dora can come later too, just make it for Mio.) (Dora)

"Sakura-sama, Dora-chan, thank you~!" (Mio)

"Okay. When we have the chance, we'll strengthen Sera, Mio, Dora, and Sakura in that order." (Jin)

I didn't know if there'd be an opportunity to fight that many "Final trials of humanity" though. But, no matter what, we'd end up fighting...

"Also, it looks like you've successfully acquired the skill [Transcendence] and the title [Transcendence]." (Jin)

"Yes. Now I can be of greater help to Jin-sama than ever before." (Maria)

"Maria-chan is the same as always, isn't she~..." (Mio)

Even now, Maria acquired new skills quite frequently, but what would it be like when she was boosted by [Transcendence] skill? I was really looking forward to it.

"That's important in itself, but as Mio-chan, I'm more interested in the dropped items~." (Mio)

"Oh, now that I think about it, there was that as well. Since it was written in the notes section of the status, there's no doubt that these three were what made up Oni God." (Jin)

Saying that, I took out [Great Spirit], [Substitute], and [Oni's Soul] from my [Inventory] and placed them on the table.

[Great Spirit] glowed weakly in the bottle. At first glance, it looked like a firefly. They tried putting the spirit (fairy?)-like in a bottle and it went into [Inventory], so I decided to have them bring it to me as it is.

Name: None (No level)
Gender: None
Age: None
Race: Great Spirit
Note: A nameless Great Spirit who has lost what it rules over.

It seemed that its powers had been constantly stolen by the Oni God, and it had lost most of the information it originally had and was on the verge of death. Alta said that it seemed to be low on magical power (MP), so I took it from the bottle and tried sending some magical power (MP) to it. If I could tame it successfully, I might be able to make a contract with it using the Spirit Stone. If not, goodbye.

"Jin-sama, do you intend to use that spirit?" (Maria)

"Yeah, that's the plan for now." (Jin)

"Now Master will also become a spirit user, right? ...To be honest, it's a bit late now, isn't it?" (Mio)

As for [Spirit Arts], even though I obtained it at Kastal, I had been ignoring it ever since. At the time, I didn't have any reason to use it, but now I had a lot of free time, so I might as well give it a try. As Mio said, it seemed a little late now, but...

"...Yeah, I guess so. But, I want to try out [Spiritualisation]." (Jin)

"Yeah, Claude and his party.... That's definitely cool, right? It's like a special move."

"I don't know if this spirit will suit me though." (Jin)

[Spiritualisation] also requires compatibility between the spirit and the user. If the compatibility is poor, the spirit could not be [Spiritualisation]-ed, and in the worst-case scenario, it will only be a familiar, just like Elle...

[I won't have a role to play again!] (Elle)

Yeah, well, good luck.

Next up is [Substitute], how can I put this... a mannequin?

Yes, it's hard to find a word other than mannequin to describe a human-sized being that reflected human characteristics but lacked personality, just like a doll.

"This is next." (Jin)

"It's a mannequin, right...?"

"It's a mannequin, isn't it..."

Yep, no matter how you look at it, it looks like a mannequin.

I said "human-size," but it's about the same size as me, or maybe a little bigger. If you thought about it, this must have been what made up the Oni God's body, but where did the law of conservation of mass go?

[Substitute]
Note: A human-shaped doll that can freely change shape by being given a soul.

To begin with, it was normally impossible to "give someone a soul," but once you got beyond that, it seemed it could change its form at will. The final [Oni's Soul] probably transformed him into a demon.

[Could you please give me this "Substitute"?] (Alta)

It's unusual for Alta to want something, isn't it? What on earth is it used for?

[If I use this [Substitute] and the Soul Crystal, I think I will be able to create my vessel.] (Alta)

Ah... so this is where Alta's humanization flag gets resolved... Well, I don't think anything bad will happen just because Alta has gained a body, so I don't mind taking it along with the Soul Crystal.

[Thank you very much.] (Alta)

"Apparently, Alta will use mannequins to transform into humans." (Jin)

"That's quite sudden. So, Alta is getting a physical body, right?"

"Yes, that's right. The Soul Crystal is the soul. [Substitute] is the body. Alta herself is the spirit, I see."

Alta herself could act simultaneously in parallel, so just because she had gained a physical body shouldn't cause it to neglect other tasks. One of the parallel minds would gain an external interface.

Then, Mio muttered something terrifying.

"At last, the all-purpose manager has obtained a body. If we can mass-produce this [Substitute], perhaps we can create an Alta army?" (Mio)

[I will try.] (Alta)

"Stop!" (Jin)

[I will stop.] (Alta)

It would certainly be convenient in many ways if that were possible, but it would also become science fiction. The title could be something like "AI Rebellion". I didn't think that Alta would actually rebel, but how should I put it... it made me feel uneasy.

[As a side note, it seems that this [Substitute] was created with the blessing of the hero, and I have to say it would be difficult to recreate with current technology and skills.] (Alta)

Thus, the "AI rebellion" was prevented. If you were to classify this, it would be an alternate world fantasy, right?

And the last one, [Oni's Soul], looked nothing more than a fist-sized black magic stone to me.

[Oni God's Magic Stone]
Note: This magic stone is the main body of a Oni God. The evil Oni's Soul is sealed inside.

After checking the status, it seemed to be a magic stone after all. Of course, it's clear that it's not just a magic stone...

"If I absorb this magic stone with [Give and Take Lv8], will I be able to use the Oni God's skill?" (Jin)

I suddenly decided to check with Alta about something that I was curious about.

Due to the effect of [Give and Take Lv8], the skills of the defeated Oni God became mine. However, most of those skills that were "Oni God-only" cannot be used. Using [Give and Take Lv8, it should be possible to remove the "Oni God-only" effect by absorbing the corpse and its soul, but the essential corpse does not exist. In this case, would it be enough to just absorb the Oni God magic stone?

[Yes. If you absorb the Oni God's magic stone, you will be able to use the Oni God special skill. The condition for is a corpse, but in this case, the Oni God magic stone is the one. Since the soul of Oni God is sealed inside, this one item will fulfill two conditions.] (Alta)

"It looks like if I absorb this, I'll be able to use the Oni God skill." (Jin)

"But Master, did Oni God have any skills worth mentioning?" (Mio)

"Now that you mention it, I don't think there was anything I wanted that much..." (Jin)

After hearing that from Mio, I'd think about it.

Oni God only had three abilities—[Oni God's Body Lv10], [Complete Resistance Lv-], and [Oni God's Roar Lv-]—To be honest, that's not much for a monster of that level. For the time being, [Oni God's Body] seemed to be an integrated skill, containing multiple skills, but none of them were particularly rare. [Oni God's Roar] was a completely unique mental attack, but in most cases the combined skill [Fear] was enough. It's embarrassing to shout it out. In addition, [Complete Resistance Lv-], which was not "Oni God-only", was obtained when I defeated Elle, so it's my second one. Who should I give it to?

"Um, there's nothing I want at all. What should I do? Does anyone want this?" (Jin)

"If Jin-kun doesn't need it, I don't think anyone else will..." (Sakura)

When Sakura said that, the other members nodded.

"Even if I give it to Tamo-san, it won't make him a Oni God... Even if he doesn't need it, the only use for it would be for Master to absorb it, right?" (Mio)

"I guess that's what I'll do..." (Jin)

So, although it's not particularly necessary, I didn't have any other use for it, so I'd absorb it. The magic stone was absorbed smoothly and now the Oni God's skills could be used.

...What can I say, it's easy to handle.

"Oh, that's right. By the way, does anyone want [Complete Resistance]?" (Jin)

While we're at it, let's decide where to distribute [Complete Resistance].

"It was Maria who dealt the final blow, so Maria should get it, right?" (Jin)

"No, this time I only delivered the final blow at Jin-sama's orders, so it's not something I've achieved. Rather, I think Sakura should use it. Among us here, she is the most important person after Jin-sama." (Maria)

"I-Is it me...?!" (Sakura)

Sakura was surprised when Maria suddenly brought up the topic.

No, what Maria said had a point.

The chances were close to zero, but if they were to become confused or go berserk due to an abnormal status, and you were to ask who among this group would be the most dangerous, it would have to be none other than Sakura. I knew because I used it myself, but supernatural powers had a huge influence. Sakura's power in particular was magic, which means it had the effect of changing the rules of the world, so even I couldn't imagine what would happen if she were to let it go out of control in a strange direction. Thinking about it like that, maybe I should have given the [Complete Resistance] I had to Sakura from the start?

"You're right, Maria. It would be better if Sakura had [Complete Resistance]." (Jin)

"If that's what Jin-kun want, I'd be grateful to receive it..." (Sakura)

(Master is invincible, Sakura is invincible too) (Dora)

I gave [Complete Resistance] to Sakura. I felt bad for Dora, but with [Complete Resistance] she was far from invincible. However, when this happened, it's probably in the nature of hardcore gamers to want a [Complete Resistance] for everyone.

Well, that's what the results will look like this time. There is a lot to gain from fighting the final trial. If possible, I would like to fight it at least once every few weeks.

[If that were to happen, I think the world would be destroyed. If I had left the Dragon Forest and attacked human countries and cities, I'm sure I would have caused considerable damage.] (Elle)

Whether it was Ancestor Divine Dragon (Elle) or Oni God, if they wanted to, it wouldn't be hard for them to topple a country. If people like this were running rampant in the world, it would be strange if it hadn't already been destroyed.

Well, I guess I have no right to say that, seeing as I've encountered those guys twice in just a few days...

More than an hour after the Oni God was defeated, the residents, realizing that the Oni God was gone, began to cautiously return to Endo (the ruins). It seemed that the residents fled quite far away, and it would take a considerable amount of time for them to return. Also, since they didn't know where the Oni God was, they might be feeling anxious and walking slowly.

"But how far are the maids planning to go?" (Jin)

"If Master stops it, won't it?" (Mio)

"That may be true, but if we stop here, it will be troublesome for the residents of Endo..." (Jin)

After checking the results, we returned to Endo, but to be honest, it was in a terrible state. Many of the houses had collapsed, and it's hard to find any buildings that were still standing. The castle had completely collapsed.

And here's the important part—the maids were working.

More than 100 maids were taking on just about any task imaginable in a disaster, including removing rubble, setting up temporary housing, and distributing food. The maids, who were all wearing matching maid uniforms and could be recognized at a glance as belonging to the same organization, were providing support to residents affected by a certain type of disaster known as the Oni God.

The residents of Endo were also confused by this. First of all, where on earth did all these maids come from? In the first place, they were guiding people to evacuate, weren't they? Or rather, what did it mean by preparing temporary housing before the residents returned?

Of course, all of them were maids from [Portal].

A little while ago, the King gave a speech to the residents about the Oni God. And it was made clear on the spot that the maids were a benevolent rescue. Therefore, although there was some suspicion, no one was able to condemn it. In fact, it would have taken a long time for the residents of Endo alone to achieve their current situation, so there was no doubt that they were being spared.

As for the maids' true purpose, it went without saying that they were trying to approach the heart of the nation. The maids were planning to provide disaster relief as part of the Chamber of Advanced Commerce and increase their influence within the country.

So, why did the maids want to increase their influence in this country? Of course, it could also be that they set up a branch in the place where I was sightseeing and wanted to support it. However, this was not the case. According to Mio, "This country has all the ingredients for Japanese cuisine." Yes, the reason why the Chamber of Advanced Commerce was strengthening its influence in this country was to enrich my Japanese food life. In order to acquire ingredients and know-how, Chamber of Advanced Commerce was currently doing its best to sell favors. Favors were heavy, right?

"Well, I want to eat Japanese food..." (Jin)

"I want to cook Japanese food too..." (Mio)

So, for the sake of Japanese food, both Mio and I let the maids do as they please without stopping them. Well, it didn't bother anyone, so it's fine, right?

(I'll eat udon again!) (Dora)

"I'm looking forward to it too."

Speaking of udon, we couldn't forget the ninja, Hannah.

The carriage that Hannah and I were supposed to be riding in arrived near Endo during the evacuation. At that point, Hannah noticed the Oni God and abandoned her watch on the carriage, running to the ninja's associates. However, no matter how many ninjas there were, there was no way they could do anything about the Oni God. Still, several ninjas approached the Oni God to see what it was like. At this point, our hunt for the Oni God began.

Hannah was included in the unit scouting for the Oni God. Then, seeing my comrades fighting the Oni God, Hannah muttered in understanding.

"Ah, that was someone I shouldn't have messed with..." (Hannah, past)

Alta told me that Hannah had been muttering something with a look of resignation on her face. Just to be sure, a maid was sent to Hannah and her companions who were hiding to tell them not to do anything unnecessary. The ninjas were so flustered it was almost amusing.

I think I'll go eat some udon again next time.

As I was doing various things, the sun went down, and it was almost night. As expected, I couldn't stay the night in Endo in this state, so I decided to return to Kastal's mansion for the time being. Luckily, there was no guard there.

Since Tooru was dealing with a major crisis in Endo, she was working with the king to resolve the situation. Before we knew it, Kaoru had returned home and was helping out.

When Asha returned by a carriage, I was surprised to find that she had tamed more than 10 monsters. Didn't me hear me when I told her to hold back? According to Asha, it didn't take that long for each one... Well, that's fine. I was sure Asha wanted to gather all her companions quickly.

Mimi then headed straight for her blacksmith's shop. Now that she had fully recovered her strength, she was looking forward to hitting the next Holy Sword. They plan to try out materials other than mithril as well, so I was looking forward to it.

I ate dinner, took a bath, play with Dora for a bit, and then put her to bed. Oh, that reminded me, I needed to give the spirit some magical power (MP).

It seemed that spirits didn't run out if you put them in a bottle and store them in [Inventory], so I gave magical power (MP) when I had the time. When I opened the lid of the bottle I had taken out, the spirit seemed to have become a little more energetic and started floating around me. When I held out my hand, she sat on it and received a supply of magical power (MP) from me.

The spirit absorbs with such force that a normal human would collapse from MP depletion within a few seconds. In my case, so far I had a large amount of MP that stolen and a percentage recovery from [Auto MP Recovery], so maybe it's a relief that there's no problem at all. It seemed like the automatic recovery was balancing things out, so my MP didn't appear to be decreasing.

"What is Master doing?" (Blue)

Blue, who was sleeping in the same room, asked me a question.

"I'm giving magical power (MP) to the spirit. It was absorbed by the Oni God we were fighting earlier, so it's weak." (Jin)

"Ah, I was the one whom you didn't call earlier..." (Blue)

Blue said, sounding a little sulky. She seemed to be bothered that only Mikazuki and Leaf were called and she was the only one who didn't have a chance to perform.

"But it doesn't seem weak, you know? It was flying around lightly..." (Jin)

"It seems it has escaped the greatest danger, but originally it was a much more powerful Great Spirit. I thought I'd give it some magical power (MP) until it could return to its original form. Then, if it wishes, I'll make a contract using [Spirit Arts] and control it." (Jin)

"Since it's so fond of you, I don't see it refusing to make a pact with you." (Blue)

"I hope so..." (Jin)

I hoped it didn't have the same behavior as a stray cat, which disappeared once you feed it.

"You control spirits, right? They're like familiars in a way. What? Is Elle guy going to be thrown out already?" (Blue)

"Don't be rude! It's not like I'm going to be thrown away! Isn't that right, Master?" (Elle)

Blue looked as if she had come up with a prank and provoked Elle, who was also in the room. Elle, who was reading a book in the corner of the room, looked indignant and asked me for confirmation.

Ah, Elle seems to be interested in human knowledge, and while she's manifested, she reads all the books in the mansion. To be honest, it's a hobby that doesn't really suit her...

"Well, I won't throw you away. Of course, if your roles overlap, your appearances will be reduced..." (Jin)

"Ugh! I don't want that either! I want to stay manifested! Spirit, go away!" (Elle)

"On the other hand, by replacing the familiar, Elle may be able to be manifested freely." (Jin)

"Spirit, do your best! Do your best and become Master's familiar!" (Elle)

Elle, what a brilliant turn of events.

"Furthermore, conversely, Elle may be left unmanifested." (Jin)

"Which one is iiit?!" (Elle)

To be honest, I wouldn't know until the time comes.

"Well, I guess it's time to go to bed." (Jin)

"Master really is free, right..." (Blue)

"I was tired before going to bed..." (Elle)

I stopped giving magical power (MP) to the spirit and started preparing for bed. Maybe because I had accumulated a certain amount of magical power (MP), the spirit's light seemed to have gotten a little bigger. It's about the size of a soccer ball. If this was the case, it should be back to normal if I kept charging it for a while.

"Well, good night." (Jin)

"Goodnight." (Blue + Elle)

I got into bed and sleep with Dora as my pillow. Tomorrow would the last day of sightseeing in Izumo Kingdom.

Author's Note

If this were the usual chapter structure, the story would end here, but this time it continues a little further.

Reason: If I wanted to finish Chapter 6 at exactly 100 episodes.
