Volume 6: The Kingdom of Izumo
Chapter 100

Female Vampire and Reconstruction (70%)

Published: 28 October 2024

Auhtor's Note

This is the final episode of Chapter 6. The main story ended safely, at exactly 100 points.

Rather than comments congratulating me on the 150th episode, I'd rather have comments on the 100th episode of the main story (shameless).

"Well, now that we've got the distractions out of the way, let's continue our conversation, shall we?" (Latina)

As we watched the unconscious "Town Thug A (Goro)" being dragged away by a group of curious onlookers, Latina spoke to us again.

"If we win, the benefits will be money and your body, right? We need to discuss the details of your body though..." (Maria)

"That's right. Is that still not enough? Then I'll include all my assets other than cash. I've acquired a lot of things during my travels. I'm sure there are some things worth a fair amount." (Latina)

"...I understand. I, Maria, will be your opponent in this duel." (Maria)

As per the agreement, Maria accepted the duel. However, Latina looked puzzled as she appraised Maria.

"You're my opponent? ...What a joke. Didn't you see the battle just now?" (Latina)

"I have been watching, and there is no need for Master to even consider fighting someone like you. Someone who cannot even beat me has no right to fight Master." (Maria)

"Master.... In other word, you're a slave...?" (Latina)

Latina decided that Maria was my slave and looked at me with a reproachful look.

"Aren't you ashamed? You're making this little girl act as your proxy in the duel!" (Latina)

I think that's a very reasonable thing to say. However, unfortunately, perhaps because the person who made that statement had just challenged us to a duel, betting both money and her own chastity, her statement did not resonate with me at all. Then, Maria's anger rose towards Latina who had denounced me.

"No, not at all... If you have a problem with that, you don't have to fight." (Jin)

"Damn, how stubborn... So after I defeat this girl, you'll be the one to fight next...?" (Latina)

Still, it seemed that Latina didn't have the option of "not fighting." Generally, I prioritized fighting myself, so it's quite rare for Maria to fight in my place like this. Normally I would play along though. Then, as Latina ignored her and turned her hostility towards me, Maria's anger grew.

"Yeah, that's great. If you can beat Maria, I'll be your next opponent." (Jin)

"Don't forget those words... I guess I have no choice but to destroy it without causing as much damage as possible, huh..." (Latina)

Seeing the exchange between Latina and me, Mio muttered, "It's a blessing not to know..." and that made quite an impression on me.

As expected, we couldn't fight in the market, so we took Latina and left the town of Akindo. We walked along the road for a while and then headed to the grassland near the river. It looked like the curious onlookers who had been watching the commotion at the market were going to follow us, so we lightly intimidated them and they fled like a swarm of spiders.

"Well, there shouldn't be any problems around here. So, Latina, what are the rules of the duel?"

"There are no rules, other than that it's one-on-one. Magics and weapons. Although, I can't use either of them." (Latina)

You go out of your way to tell us that you can't use magic or weapons, huh?

Hearing this so bluntly made you wonder if it's a trap or something, but the fact was that she had no weapon skills or magic skills. And the shining [Unarmed Combat Mastery] skill.

"And the outcome will be decided by fainting, death, or surrender. If I die during the duel, feel free to take my money and belongings. They're in my item box. However, in that case, you'll have to give up my body." (Latina)

Saying that, she threw the item box she was holding towards the base of a nearby tree. Even though she was about to risk her life in a fight, she didn't seem nervous at all. Her goal was to fight and become stronger, and she even seemed to think it didn't matter if she died along the way. However, "If I die" was what she said when she saw me, and it didn't seem like Maria was considered as her enemy.

"Maria, is that okay?" (Jin)

"Yes, no problem.." (Maria)

Of course, Maria didn't seem nervous at all—Immediately after, Maria came in telepathically. Since we were there, it was time for everyone to discuss it together.

(Jin-sama, what are you going to do in the end? There are some parts that I don't like, but I didn't sense any particular malice towards humans.) (Maria)

(That sounds like what Master said about her being a "serious battle maniac," right?) (Mio)

(Seriously...) (Dora)

(I guess so. I don't think there's any need to kill someone like that.) (Jin)

(Understood. I will enable [Show Mercy] so that she won't get killed.) (Maria)

Event she made the effort to avoid killing "Town Thug A". However, I didn't know what would happen if it were a serious duel. I think she would probably kill quite a few people.

(Master, you don't intend to tame her, do you?) (Mio)

(At the very least, I don't intend to tame any Vampires until I turn Mira back into a human.) (Jin)

(I'm sure Mira-san wouldn't be too happy about it either... Even if she knows she was unrelated, it's just the fact that she's a vampire...) (Mio)

This was especially true if it turned out that they were not actually unrelated.

(That's right, huh? It seems like she's gotten over it to some extent, but there's no doubt she'll have mixed feelings if a Vampire is nearby.) (Maria)

(So, I think I'll wait and see this time. I'm not completely opposed to taming her once the Mira issue is resolved.) (Jin)

I intended to turn Mira back into a human eventually, but if that happened, there would be no Vampires under my command. I wanted to keep her in my next Vampire slot. I was not sure about that idea though—

(Jin-sama, is there anything else I should be careful of?) (Maria)

(That's right. We might tame her someday, so please break her spirit or do whatever you can to make sure she doesn't forget about us.) (Jin)

(I understand) (Maria)

Having said that much, I stopped telepathy.

Once preparations for the duel are complete, I left Maria and Latina behind to watch the outcome of the duel. The two of them faced each other, about 20 meters apart.

"Are you really going to do that? I don't like bullying the weak..." (Latina)

"Sorry about that. If you're not confident that you can defeat me, then you can just surrender." (Maria)

"...If you say that, I can't back down. I'll go easy on you, but you'll have to prepare for a painful experience." (Latina)

Latina turned half-way and prepareed her fist.

Turning her body on half-way narrowed the range of attacks from the front, which was a fundamental and secret technique of martial arts. The fist held in front of her was lightly clenched so that it could be used for both deterrence and defense. Just by looking at her stance, you could tell she was a skilled fighter. Her center of gravity was stable, and it would be impossible for an average martial artist to disrupt it.

"Come on me as you like. It's the least I can do for you. I'll let you make the first move." (Latina)

"Well then, gladly." (Maria)

—Thwack!—

"Guppppppp!!!" (Latina)

In the next moment, Maria used the combined power of her legs, [Flash Step] and [Physical Strengthening], to close the distance in an instant and land a good punch on Latina's stomach. Coincidentally, it ended up being a rehash of what Latina had decided earlier about "Town Thug A." Well, maybe Maria made that choice with full understanding. Unfortunately, Maria was no ordinary martial artist. She was an extraordinary brave woman. Her overwhelming stats and fighting sense easily overshadow any secrets of martial arts.

But surprisingly, Latina did not collapse. She was clutching her stomach, a look of agony on her face unbecoming of a beautiful woman, and she was trembling violently with her legs turned inwards like a newborn fawn, but she still did not collapse.

"Guhh.... Guhh...." (Latina)

Latina tried to say something while holding back sobs, but no words came out. After watching for a while, I noticed a wet stain spreading across the crotch area of Latina's dress. It seemed like something had gone wrong.

"Is it over already? I just didn't feel like I was getting anywhere near it, though..." (Maria)

"Gugyu... Ugh... Not yet... Ugh... I haven't lost yet..." (Latina)

There seemed to be no lie in those words, and the fighting spirit had not disappeared from Latina's_ eyes.

"Th-this time I'll let you go...! Haah!" (Latina)

Latina somehow mustered her strength to regain her stance, approached Maria with [Flash Step] and delivered a straight punch. Maria, who was very familiar with [Flash Step], seemed to have predicted where Latina would appear from and easily dodged her fist.

"It's slow." (Maria)

"Then how about this!" (Latina)

Latina also used [Flash Step], getting closer than before and delivered a spin kick. Deciding that it would be difficult to avoid given the distance, Maria blocked the spin kick with her left arm. It didn't matter, but Latina's pants were red as well.

"It's weak." (Maria)

"Not yet!" (Latina)

This time, she aimed for the face with a chop. However, it was a feint, and her real move seemed to be a leg sweep. If she was concentrating on the upper body, she would get caught. However, Maria had trained not to stare at one spot in her field of vision during a fight. Naturally, she swatted away the attack and avoided the sweep by taking a half step back.

"It's clumsy." (Maria)

"Damn you!" (Latina)

Latina grew impatient when her attacks didn't work and launched a rough thrust that threw her body off-center. Naturally, Maria was not going to miss the opportunity, and she intercepted the thrust by slamming it head-on. It was clear who would win—a thrust that was on the verge of collapse, or a thrust that was launched with the intention of intercepting from the start.

"Guuuuuuuh!!!" (Latina)

"It's fragile." (Maria)

From then on, Latina's attacks continued to be dodged, blocked, and broken down. And when she did break down, her will to attack was thwarted by interception. All of Latina's attacks were nullified, and she was left with no other options. She was shaking and clutching her injured arm. Her mind seemed to be breaking. Good, do more.

"Not yet...! I haven't lost yet...! I still have a move to make...! It's okay, I can fight...! There's no way something like this could happen where I can't do anything...!" (Latina)

Latina didn't seem to have given up yet. But rather, I got the impression that she was desperately trying to convince herself.

"If this doesn't work... no, it doesn't. I can do it..." (Latina)

Latina managed to squeeze that out with difficulty while bowing her head, then raised her head high.

"Uooooooooooooooooh! [Dragon Awakening]" (Latina)

"No good." (Maria)

—Thwack!—

"Capybaraa!" (Latina)

Latina shouted, trying to use [Dragon Awakening], but Maria delivered a merciless punch to her stomach.

This time, unable to bear it any longer, Latina collapsed. The stain between her legs continued to spread, and as if the pain had come full circle, she began twitching violently with a look of pleasure on her face. Her eyes were open but she wasn't looking at anything, and drool was dripping from her open mouth. Her face was completely destroyed, which was horrifying, considering how beautiful she was to begin with. Somehow, I felt like Tooru and Kaoru had similar reactions when they saw a sword.

"Jin-sama, it's done." (Maria)

Strictly speaking, she wasn't unconscious, but there was no way she was able to fight, so those were her words as we headed towards Maria.

"It certainly feels like a lot of things have come to an end..."

At the very least, there's no doubt that after making such a disgraceful display, everything was over for her as a woman.

In the end, Latina passed out and it took four hours for her to wake up. Since it was too much of a bother to wait for her to wake up, we left Tamo-san behind and went to the market to watch the circus and look at the antique auction. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything interesting.

Four hours later, I received a message from Tamo-san saying that she was about to wake up, so we returned to the grassland we had been to earlier. Latina got up, walked over to Maria, and got into a kneeling position.

"It's completely my loss. I'm truly sorry for saying such things without even being able to gauge your abilities." (Latina)

"I'm glad you understand. Then, as promised, I will receive the money and belongings in your item box." (Jin)

"Yes. I will keep my promise. You can do whatever you like with my belongings." (Latina)

Even though all of her belongings had been stolen, she didn't look particularly upset. Perhaps it's because she's a battle maniac that she didn't have much attachment to material things.

(Here it is!) (Dora)

"Thank you, Dora-chan." (Maria)

Dora picked up Latina's item box and handed it to Maria.

"...So, what do you like to do with my body?" (Latina)

For some reason, Latina herself brought up the topic of another promise.

There's no need to go out of your way to bring up something unfavorable to yourself...

"Why do you look so hopeful...?" (Maria)

"No, such, that's not it..." (Latina)

Looking more closely, there was a hint of hope in Latina's_ eyes. As Maria asked her with some reluctance, Latina suddenly began to fidget.

"It's not convincing... So, Jin-sama, what do you think?" (Maria)

"Ah, that's right. Nothing..." (Jin)

"Wait, why do you ask him?" (Latina)

When I tried to answer, "Nothing in particular," Latina interrupted me with a troubled look on her face for some reason.

"Why? Matters concerning your body are decided by my master, Jin-sama, right?" (Maria)

"No, that's not true. You, Maria, are the one who won against me, so you have the right. I'm willing to give my first time to you. In fact, I want to give it to you." (Latina)

"Whoa..."

"Eh..."

It seemed that Latina had been broken by Maria and had lost a screw somewhere. Latina's cheeks were red as she made some crazy remarks, leaving Mio in awe. Sakura was also in awe. Naturally, I was in awe too.

"I don't have that hobby. I will give up that right, no, I will transfer it to Jin-sama for now, okay?" (Maria)

"I don't really care either." (Jin)

"So, it's abandonment, huh?"

Goodbye, erotic rights.

"Wait! Then what should I do about this passionate feeling of mine!" (Latina)

"I don't know anything about that." (Maria)

It seemed that Latina had an extraordinary lust for Maria.

Could it be because she was completely defeated? Has the fear reversed?

"Then at least let me accompany you! I don't mind being a slave or whatever!" (Latina)

"...At the very least, I have no intention of subjugating you right now. Besides, you're a Vampire, so I can't make you my slave, right?" (Jin)

Vampires were considered monsters, so they could not be enslaved. Instead, you could tame them with Monster Taming, but—

"Wh-why do you say I'm a Vamprie... No, that's not important! More importantly, you said 'for now', but when would be a good time?!" (Latina)

"I don't know. We've got a bit of a complicated issue, and that will be after we sort it out." (Jin)

It was about Mira's vampirism.

"May I ask about that issue?" (Latina)

"No, that's not possible." (Jin)

Since I didn't intend to make her my subordinate here, I didn't intend to say anything unnecessary since I didn't know where the information might leak. Even if I talked to a Vampire, I didn't think we'd be able to cure Mira of her Vampirism.

Looking at Maria's expression, Latina decided that she had a firm resolve and sighed.

"Okay, then I'll give up for now. But someday I'll definitely become your servant!" (Latina)

"Hey, I want to ask you something, is that okay?" (Mio)

While Latina was getting excited, Mio asked a question.

"Oh, never mind. ...Um, what's your name?" (Latina)

"Mio. So, my question is, how do you become Maria-chan's servant?" (Mio)

"H-How?" (Latina)

Latina, not understanding the meaning of Mio's question, tilted her head.

"We're on the road all the time, so how are you going to know when our problems are solved?" (Mio)

"What? Aren't you all mainly operating in this country, this town?" (Latina)

Hearing Mio's words, Latina uttered a surprised cry. It seemed that she had mistakenly thought that this town was our base.

"Unfortunately, that's not the case. I came to this town to sightsee. It's just a day trip, so I plan to leave in a little while." (Jin)

"That's...troublesome. There's no way I can go after you..." (Latina)

"That's impossible, right?" (Maria)

Maria coldly refused. This wasn't because we're being mean or anything, but because our movement was caused by [Portal], it's a physical problem that made it virtually impossible for her to go after us.

"If you truly wish to become my subordinate, please head to Kastal Queendom." (Maria)

It looked like Maria was planning to come to the rescue.

"I've heard of Kastal Queendom before.... Maria, what's there? What should I do?" (Latina)

"There is a trading company called Chamber of Advanced Commerce. They are related to us, so if you ask them, we will be able to know where you are. Additionally, we have a base in Kastal, so if you go to the store, we will be able to contact you once our matter is resolved." (Maria)

"Oh, that would be a great help! Certainly, I'll head to Kastal Queendom." (Latina)

Thus, we succeeded in sending an S-rank equivalent monster into Kastal Queendom.

Is this also a kind of monster training?

"However, if you want to follow me, please do not do anything that will carelessly harm people. I have no intention of subjugating monsters that harm people. In cases like in the market earlier, it's fine as long as you don't kill them..." (Maria)

"I get it. I'll try not to kill people whenever possible." (Latina)

Having no use for the "evil monster," Maria made her natural request. Having said that, it would be fine if Latina had not committed (assuming) any unnecessary killing to begin with.

Once the conversation was over, Latina immediately set off for Kastal Queendom.

"Well then, Maria, let's meet again sometime." (Latina)

"Don't forget your promise, okay?" (Maria)

"Of course. I will do whatever it takes, if that's your order, Maria." (Latina)

But I never thought that Latina would be so fascinated by her.

I wonder how she got broken...

After parting ways with Latina, we decided to return to Endo for the time being.

The nights in Akindo were bright, and evening events were held all over the place. However, we were going to war with Eldia tomorrow. If we stayed out sightseeing until late, it might affect our performance tomorrow. I planned to take as much rest today as I could.

And so, we were teleported to Endo using [Portal] and was surprised to see the town being rebuilt.

"Hey, isn't it obvious that the reconstruction has progressed since before we left town?" (Jin)

"Um... isn't the castle almost complete...? Am I seeing things wrong...?" (Sakura)

"There are quite a few tenement houses in the downtown area as well." (Mio)

As I, Sakura, and Mio said in that order, Endo had clearly made progress in its recovery compared to when we left. In fact, you could even say it was a completely different place. Endo 80% of the castle's exterior had been restored to how it was when I first arrived. The residential areas of the town were almost completed, and it appeared that they were now starting to rebuild the commercial areas. No matter how you looked at it, this was not the speed of recovery after a town was nearly destroyed.

"Oh, Jin-dono. You've returned?" (Tooru)

"Tooru?" (Jin)

As I was heading towards the Chamber of Advanced Commerce store, looking at the town's reconstruction, I bumped into Tooru just as she was coming out of the store. Of course, the SPs were with her as usual. They'd been enslaved and their actions were restricted, so they didn't complain if I treat Tooru casually. They couldn't.

"I just got back. Akindo was a lot of fun." (Jin)

"That was good." (Tooru)

Along the way, there was an event where the Vampire (Latina) appeared, but even with that it was still a fun tour.

"More importantly, the reconstruction has progressed a lot. The castle is almost complete." (Jin)

"Yes. No, it's the power of the maid. Well, it's only natural that a maid from Jin-dono could do this much." (Tooru)

"I-I see..." (Jin)

Just as I expected, this speed of restoration seemed to be driven by the maids. And it seemed that maids had been established as omnipotent beings within Tooru.

"By the way, why did you come to the store, Tooru?" (Mio)

"Yes. It's a kind of business negotiation regarding reconstruction." (Tooru)

"Is that something royalty does?" (Mio)

"It can't be helped. Right now, I'm the only one who has a legitimate connection with the Chamber of Advanced Commerce." (Tooru)

Tooru scratched her head as she answered Mio's question.

"Father thinks that if we play a fool and antagonizes the company, this will be the end of the Endo. I have some connections, so it's inevitable that he assigns the job to me." (Tooru)

"Since you are both subordinates of Jin-sama, I’m sure the maids were considerate towards Tooru-san, right?" (Maria)

According to Maria, the maids had a strong sense of camaraderie, and since they shared the common ground with Tooru, they wouldn't make unreasonable demands.

"Yes. As expected, I wasn't able to get a reduction in my debt, but I was able to reduce the interest rate to the minimum and I was given a lot of time before the deadline. It's a great help." (Tooru)

Having said that, Tooru let out a deep sigh.

"Even putting the Chamber of Advanced Commerce matter aside, this incident will cause financial difficulties for Endo for a while. Various documents have been lost along with the castle, and we have also lost loyal retainers, the Three Great Leaders, even though they betrayed us. Who knows what would have happened if the maids hadn't been there..." (Tooru)

Although the human casualties were minimal, the damage suffered by Endo from this incident appeared to be severe. So I decided to ask something that just occurred to me.

"By the way, what about the Three Great Leaders's family? The ones other than the perpetrators?" (Jin)

"Of course, we are going to kill the whole family and their followers. We are only capturing them now because of the circumstances, and we intend to punish them tomorrow. What's the matter?" (Tooru)

"I thought so..." (Jin)

I was wondering about this since it's a custom from the Edo period, but as I thought, it seemed that the entire family of traitors would be killed. To be honest, I didn't feel very good.

"Would you mind reconsidering that?" (Jin)

"...? Can I ask why?" (Tooru)

"I hate irrelevant collective responsibility. It would be one thing if you knew about it and didn’t stop it, but if you didn’t know anything at all and you’re suddenly sentenced to death because of the responsibility of a relative, isn’t that unbearable?" (Jin)

"But, if they seek revenge, it will be troublesome. Disposal is necessary." (Tooru)

Of course, I understood Tooru's point of view. If you carelessly left their relatives behind, it would be a pain to clean up after them. If you were going to get rid of them, it would be best to do it all at once, as this would cause the least amount of trouble. Of course, it wouldn't disappear completely, but—

"That's right. That's why I'll lend a hand. I have the skill to tell if the other person is lying. I want to make sure they know about the rebellion, if they have any feelings of revenge or resentment, and I don't want kill anyone who is safe." (Jin)

I was not saying you had to help everyone. The only ones who would help were those who were truly unrelated and had no desire for revenge.

Being able to see through someone's lies shouldn't be a problem if you had [Eye of Truth], which were originally a blessing. I would lend her this skill, so I asked Tooru to avoid massacre.

"If Jin-dono says so, then I'll consult with Father. But what advantage does Jin-dono get from this? Or rather, is there an advantage?" (Tooru)

"Of course there is. Being a vassal of the royal family is a chance to get a lot of fairly capable slaves. As a country, even if you can avoid the death penalty, you can’t go unpunished, right?" (Jin)

"...Ah, that makes sense." (Tooru)

Tooru touched the slave mark (concealment) on his back and nodded with a look of resignation on her face. I wouldn't pass up the chance to get a useful slave. I also had a good justification for doing so.

"So, if you decide to enslave them instead of killing them, then you can arrange it with me. If there is any cost involved, I don't mind you deducting it from that debt." (Jin)

"I get it. I'll let you do that." (Tooru)

If I could obtain a usable slave, the Chamber of Advanced Commerce would have no complaints. Ah, there was no way anyone would complain the moment I said it—

As a side note, it went without saying that several dozen slaves arrived at the Chamber of Advanced Commerce at a later date. Naturally, some knew about the rebellion, and some got caught up in the revenge, so not everyone was saved—

After parting ways with Tooru, we left the shop and used [Portal] to return to Kastal's mansion.

At the mansion, Sakuya was currently eating dinner.

"Oh, onii-chan, welcome back. Did you have fun at Izumo Kingdom?" (Sakuya)

"Oh, I'm back. It was fun. I even bought some souvenirs." (Jin)

"Yay! ...Endo rice crackers? What's this?" (Sakuya)

That day, we went sightseeing in Akindo, the second largest town in Izumo Kingdom. And the first town and capital of Izumo Kingdom was Endo (half-destroyed).

Yes, I did something meaningless by buying Endo rice crackers at Akindo and coming back from Endo. To put it in perspective, it's like someone living in the Kanto region traveling to Hokkaido and choosing souvenirs from Okinawa Fair. Mio and Sakura were shocked that this was not the way to choose a souvenir.

"It's food. It's a snack made from rice. I'll leave them in the living room, so anyone who wants to eat them can have them." (Jin)

"Hmm. I'll have one." (Sakuya)

Saying this, Sakuya cracked a rice cracker.

"Yes, it's hard but fragrant and quite tasty. If it's made from rice, I wonder if we could make it at home?" (Sakuya)

This was tweeted by the leader of a country that was confident in its rice production.

"I know how to make it, so I can teach you." (Mio)

"Really?! Then maybe I should ask Mio-chan?" (Sakuya)

"Leave it to me, leave it to me." (Mio)

No one knew at the time that this was the story behind the later famous Kastal snacks, Kastal rice cracker.

"By the way, Sakuya. Tomorrow is all-out war with Eldia, so is it okay for you to be out here?" (Jin)

"Ah, yes, yes. That's fine. All the preparations are finished. While I'm at it, I'll let you know, onii-chan, that the operation is scheduled to begin tomorrow at noon. If it's inconvenient for you, we can adjust the schedule, but what do you think?" (Sakuya)

"That's not a problem. Well, even though we called it a plan, it's a simple one where we just go into the royal capital of Eldia, wreak havoc, and take control." (Jin)

A small group of people entered the enemy's main camp and took control. This was one of the simplest, least damaging and most effective tactics. Of course, the downside was that it required a certain level of individual combat ability.

"Please don't go too far with your 'rampage', okay? It'll definitely be a pain to clean up afterwards." (Sakuya)

"I will do our best." (Jin)

I will do the best thing.

"Sakura-chan, Mio-chan, stop onii-can, okay!" (Sakuya)

Sakuya pleaded with her friends, Sakura and Mio.

"Well, that's a bit too much. I'll do what I can though." (Mio)

"I'll try my best, though..." (Sakura)

"I'm really begging you, okay!?" (Sakuya)

Seeing Sakuya with tears in her eyes made me worry about my trustworthiness. I think I would try and do my best.

I ate rice, did some light combat training to sweat off, took a bath, and returned to my room. Today it's not Dora's turn to be the body pillow person, so only Blue and Elle were in the room. Previously, Maria would stay in my room as well (as my bodyguard), but recently, since I was no longer alone, she often returned to her own room.

Maria absolutely hates leaving me alone...

Continuing from yesterday, I would try giving magical power (MP) to the spirit.

That's right. If you are attached to a spirit while you sleep, will your magical power (MP) be restored?

[Yes. Since the amount of MP recovered is greater when asleep, you can recover the spirit more efficiently.] (Alta)

I see, then maybe I should try making the spirit into a body pillow instead of a Dora. If I increase its magical power (MP), it will suddenly become the size of a soccer ball... It should be okay to sleep with it in my arms. It won't get crushed, right?

Conclusion. ………………………Fail.

The spirit was shining. I turned off the lights. The spirit was dazzling.

Since there was no other option, I wrapped the spirit in a blanket and put my hand through the gap to supply it with my magical power (MP).

I felt a little sorry for the spirit whose magical powers had been stolen by the Oni God, who put it in a bottle and wrapped it in a blanket.

Author's Note

As per usual, there will be an introduction to the characters and a side story, and then next week the 7th chapter "Really Eldia War Part" will begin.

Let me just say that the war itself will not last long. Need I explain why?

My grandma said that things are even harder after the war is over.

Translator/Editor's Note

Formatting status section actually takes as long as the main part itself. Next chapter is about characters (with their skills) in part 6, probably will take as long as a "normal" Blessing chapter.

For now, this series will be on rolling schedule. Next chapter will be on the next empty slot next week.

*I apologize if, for some reason, the status section (or other part) is showing the original (Japanese) words or its romaji spelling, probably because I haven't added those to the database yet or because of typo.

**Some of skills in the status section have not been added to the database, so I use static text based on the previous author's glossary.

*The spelling of the characters and places may be different from the official or any other translation website. Click here to see the list.
