Chapter 799

The Bear Plays a Puzzle

Published: 12 May 2024

"Yuna-onee-chan, are you sure you don't have to go?" (Fina)

Fina asked after finishing wolf dismantling.

After hearing about pressed flowers yesterday, I stayed at home without even going to the royal capital.

I didn't know if they used the same flowers that Shia used, but Fina's house also had pressed flowers from when they made it together.

So, I told Fina what Cliff told me.

"It's okay" (Yuna)

As I'd said many times before, I just got back.

I just fought an ice dragon.

God wouldn't be angry if I took a little break.

So there shouldn't be any problem with taking a break.

"Is it alright?" (Fina)

"Well, I'm not in a hurry, so I don't think it's a big deal. Besides, I need some rest." (Yuna)

I held Kumayuru, who had turned into a bear cub, next to me.

Fina also came and held Kumakyu.

"But there was a precious flower inside." (Fina)

Flowers were blooming in Targui.

There were a lot of flowers in bloom, and Fina, Shuri, and Shia picked them.

I didn't know which flowers were precious.

"Maybe it’s in the pressed flowers we made." (Yuna)

All I could do was go to the royal capital and find out what kind of flower it was.

I was curious about it, so I was planning to go.

But right now, I wanted to relax.

Fina also started playing with Kumakyu.

Looking at Fina like that, I remembered something.

"Is Fina good at jigsaw puzzles?" (Yuna)

"Jig-sow pa-zul?" (Fina)

"Yeah, jigsaw puzzle." (Yuna)

"What is jigsow pazul?" (Fina)

"……" (Yuna)

Come to think of it, I'd never seen a jigsaw puzzle.

There might not be a game in this world where you could put together pictures that had been torn apart.

What's more, this time I was talking about three-dimensional puzzles.

"A jigsaw puzzle was about connecting things that had been separated." (Yuna)

"Connecting things that have fallen apart... Repair? Do you mean restoration?" (Fina)

I understood what Fina was trying to say.

But it's slightly different.

"I don't have much experience repairing things, so I might not be able to do it." (Fina)

Is there a little?

I thought Fina would do her best to fix it.

"But I can do it when it comes to repairing clothes. I used to sew it when I didn't have any money." (Fina)

This kid worked as a dismantling to earn money for her mother's medicine and also took care of her younger sister.

Money was important and she should be saving it.

But she didn't have to worry about that now.

"It’s not about clothes, it’s about repairing eggs." (Yuna)

I said in a cheerful voice.

I got up from the sofa, spread the sheets on the floor, and a cushion? I placed a cushion and the ice dragon's broken egg on top of it to prevent the egg from moving.

"...I saw the ice dragon egg the other day." (Fina)

Fina sat down and looked at the eggs.

The size of the egg was about 50cm to 60cm.

"I'm thinking of asking Fina to help me repair this." (Yuna)

Approximately 2/3 of the egg shell remained in its original form, and about 1/3 had a hole.

A baby ice dragon came out of this empty hole.

I put out the broken pieces of the egg together.

"Can I do it?" (Fina)

Fina picked up a piece of the egg.

I also had never done a jigsaw puzzle, let alone a 3D puzzle.

My parents never did it, and I had no interest in it either.

So I decided to ask Fina to help me.

"But how do I attach it?" (Fina)

Fina tried to attach the egg pieces to the egg.

Was it okay to use adhesive?

"Can you buy a glue to stick eggs somewhere?" (Yuna)

"Hmm, they do sell glue that sticks paper together." (Fina)

Will it stick?

As I was thinking about trying out some of the eggs, Kumayuru and Kumakyu, who had turned into cubs, arrived in front of the eggs.

Then, they looked around at the pieces and deftly grabbed the slightly larger pieces.

Maybe you can grab some beans?

As Kumayuru and Kumakyu looked at what they were doing, they brought the pieces of eggs close to each other.

Mana?

Kumayuru and Kumakyu appeared to have shed mana.

The two pieces became one large piece.

"It's amazing. It sticks together." (Fina)

Fina was surprised by the phenomenon Kumayuru and Kumakyu had caused.

I picked up the egg fragments that Kumayuru and Kumakyu had.

It's attached properly.

I couldn't even see the seams.

I saw the pieces of the egg.

I wonder if this piece and this piece will stick together.

I put the two pieces together like a puzzle and lightly channel the mana.

The two pieces sticked together.

There seemed to be no doubt about it.

"Apparently, it seems like when you pour mana on it, it sticks together." (Yuna)

"Mana?" (Fina)

Fina also looked for pieces and fragments, and when she poured mana like I did, the two pieces stick together.

"Done." (Fina)

Fina was pleased.

"Kumayuru, Kumakyu, did you tell me? Thank you." (Yuna)

I patted Kumayuru and Kumakyu on the head.

"But it's strange. It sticks together with mana." (Yuna)

"Is it because it’s an ice dragon egg?" (Fina)

I didn't think it's possible to make eggs of a lizard.

"But it looks like we don't need any glue now." (Yuna)

Fina and I splitted up our efforts and began repairing the ice dragon egg.

Is this here?

"This small one..." (Fina)

Fina began playing the three-dimensional puzzle, the egg puzzle, with serious eyes.

I also started the egg puzzle together.

But it's strange.

If you poured mana on the pieces in the right place, they would stick together.

Even if you poured mana into the parts of the pieces that didn't fit together, they wouldn't stick.

It's helpful because it didn't get stuck together by mistake. It's strange.

Fina had a serious expression and was silently playing the egg puzzle.

"Is this small piece here?" (Fina)

She looked happy when the pieces sticked together neatly.

"Maybe it’s fun?" (Yuna)

"...Um, yes. It's fun to watch it gradually take on its original shape." (Fina)

Indeed, that's the fun of jigsaw puzzles.

It's a joy to see the pieces gradually fit together and the picture gradually approach completion.

However, I had never done it, so I couldn't say for sure.

When I actually tried it, it's just as fun as Fina said.

However, I got frustrated when I couldn't find a match.

"Yuna-onee-chan, it might be this one." (Fina)

If I put it on where Fina said, it would fit perfectly.

I poured mana and attached.

This was surprisingly difficult.

Unlike regular jigsaw puzzles, there were no colors.

There was a picture on the jigsaw puzzle, and I could guess that the color was around here. But what we're doing was eggshells. In other word, the same color.

If white paper was divided into pieces like a puzzle, it would be difficult to put them together.

And the bigger it was, the harder it was.

However, this time I'd completed 2/3 of it, so it's easier. If this had all been broken and shattered, maybe it would have turned into a hellish puzzle.

And it took one day to complete.

"Yuna-onee-chan, what are you going to do with this egg?" (Fina)

It's pale and beautiful, so it's good to display.

But before that.

"I think I'll go show it to Kagari-san." (Yuna)

It's the egg we got together. I wanted to show it to Kagari-san.

So, I used Bear's Transfer Gate to travel to Land of Harmoni with Fina.

Kumayuru and Kumakyu, who had turned into cubs, also followed.

"What, you? Did you really bring me trouble?" (Kagari)

What do you say when you see someone?

Plus, she's drinking alcohol.

Maybe she's drinking because she couldn't drink when she was in the ice city.

"No, I just came to show you this." (Yuna)

I took out the completed ice dragon egg from the bear box.

"Is this the ice dragon egg from back then? But it's not broken..." (Kagari)

Kagari-san approached the ice dragon egg and touched it.

"Fina and I put the pieces together and repaired it." (Yuna)

"Miss, it's tough being forced to deal with all the trouble. If you don't like it, you should just say you don't like it." (Kagari)

She looked at Fina with a pitying expression.

But Fina answered with a smile.

"Well, it was fun putting the pieces together." (Fina)

Words that were neither lies nor deceit.

Fina was having fun sticking the egg pieces together.

"Well, I hope you enjoyed it." (Kagari)

"By the way, no one noticed that Kagari-san was out?" (Yuna)

"Is that so?" (Kagari)

Kagari-san reached for the paper on the table.

"It’s Suzuran’s notes." (Kagari)

She handed me the paper.

When I received it, I looked at Suzuran-san's note.

The notes didn't tell where you went, or if you went out, you should leave a note, and you didn't have to worry about not coming back. At the end, there were words of concern for Kagari-san.

"Looks like you made them worry." (Yuna)

"They're making too much noise just because I haven't been there for about a week. I am not a child." (Kagari)

Even though she looked like a little girl, she was a proper adult.

"They might think Kagari-san has left the Land of Harmoni." (Yuna)

You'll be back, right?

When will you coming back?

It was written.

Suzuran-san seemed to have been in this house for about three days.

Finally, it was written that she would report to the king and return.

"It's been reported to the King." (Yuna)

"It's a pain. I just went out for a while." (Kagari)

"That just shows that she care about Kagari-san." (Yuna)

Suzuran-san, the king, and Sakura cared deeply about Kagari-san.

So, there's no point in worrying if she disappeared.

"Next time, when I go out with you, I'll write it down." (Kagari)

The way she said it, it sounded like she was saying that if she went out with me, she was going to get into some kind of trouble.

When I thought about slime and the frozen city, it's hard to say otherwise.

Still, Kagari-san was willing to go along with me even though she knew it would get her into trouble.

That made me feel a little happy.

Then, while looking at the ice dragon egg, Fina was asking Kagari-san a lot of questions.

Author's Note

She did a three-dimensional puzzle with Fina.

I haven't been doing jigsaw puzzles lately.

If you have a jigsaw puzzle of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear...
