I stood in front of the knights.
"What is it?"
"Bear?"
"Miss, what is your purpose in a place like this?"
"This is not the place for a young lady to come."
"Or do you have something to do with us?" "I'm sorry, but I don't have enough free time to worry about you."
"Go over there."
I tried to ignore them and walk through.
"I'm sorry, but I won't let you go from here."
When I said that much, I made a surprise attack.
Countless earthen poles protruded from the ground, surrounding the knights like a prison. The rod also bent in the middle, becoming like a cone and blocking the ceiling.
"A mage!?"
"I'm sorry, but you'll be in that situation for a while..."
Just as I was about to say that, a knight drew his sword and swung it down, slashing the prison.
Even though it was earth, it was made hard by magic. It was not something that could be done easily.
I caught a thief the same way at the King's birthday festival, but they couldn't do that.
"Miss, are you acting like you know who we are?"
"Maybe it has something to do with the surrounding smoke?"
His eyes changed and he glared at me.
This was unexpected. It was the wrong move as a strategy, but it was the right thing to hold back.
If I had let these knights go to the guild master and the others, it would have been a big problem.
So, these knights would be finished up here.
I moved.
If they could escape in a normal cage, just lock them in with a bear.
Bears appeared from the ground and surrounded the knights.
Perhaps because I wasn't careful this time, I couldn't trap everyone.
However, the trapped knights would not be released.
The bears overlapped to form a ceiling.
About three people were captured.
A knight trapped in a bear cage swung his sword at the bear that had become a pillar, but his sword was deflected.
"What? I can't cut it."
As expected, it seemed like they couldn't cut bear magic.
Bear magic was the best.
The knights who avoided the bear's enclosure tried to rescue the knight trapped in the bear's cage but were unable to do so.
I created more bears around the knights who were trying to rescue.
"Get away! If you don't stop, you'll be caught."
One of the knights raised his voice.
Once the knights left the cage, they began to move so as not to compromise their distance.
The judgment was quick.
The knight who raised his voice gave instructions to the surrounding knights. It was this knight who cut down the first cage. He might be the captain.
"She looks strange, but she's more powerful than the wizards around here. Be careful. Don't underestimate her just because she looks strange."
He was different from the captain I met outside of that city, but this person also seemed to be excellent, unlike the other knights. He didn't lick me just because I was a girl dressed as a bear.
However, the strange appearance was unnecessary.
"You’re kidding me."
"Brat!"
"......!"
About three knights attacked me without thinking. They hadn't drawn their sword, but it seemed like they still had some reason left.
A man who looked like a captain yells, "Wait!" but it was too late.
I dodged the arm of the attacking knight and punched him in the stomach.
Bear punch, bear punch, bear punch.
The three knights who received the bear punch flew backwards.
There was a bear cage in the direction they flew.
I created a gap between the bears that was large enough for a person to pass through. The knight passed through the gap and entered the bear's cage as if being sucked into it. Then I closed the bear gap.
"Three people, please guide them into the cage."
When I said that, it seemed like it angered the rest of the knights.
A knight drew his sword.
There were 5 people left.
"You"
"Surround her!"
Five people moved around me.
"Did you act because you knew we're the fairy knights?"
"I know. With the help of fairies, is that what it's all about?"
I couldn't speak about the knights because I received the power of God.
However, the knights who didn't know this got angry.
When people were criticized, they got angry.
I left the other four to only feel a slight presence, and I faced the knight who was giving instructions in front of me.
The person to be careful of here was the captain who was giving instructions. His judgment and skill were one step ahead of other knights.
The knights kept their distance from me and watch for the timing to attack.
The captain's face dropped slightly. He gave a signal.
The knights surrounding me move, but I moved one step faster than them. I ran towards the man who seemed to be the captain.
He swung his sword down at me as he approached me. I dodged it, but it immediately cut back at me.
I reacted quickly.
However, I parried the sword with the black bear knife I took out of the bear box. Just as I was about to attack him, another knight attacked me from behind. Maybe it was because of the fairy's power, but everyone was fast.
But I was faster. I created a wall with earth magic on my back.
The captain in front of me had a surprised look on his face.
I didn't have time to play. I took a step forward and punched him in the stomach with a bear uppercut from the bottom up.
The knight flew upwards, his face twisted in pain. The falling point was above the bear's cage. The ceiling of the cage was opened, and the knight fell into the cage.
I wasn't careful enough, so he didn't fall from that high, but it was quite a shock.
When the knight fell to the ground, he was unable to stand up due to the pain.
The remaining four knights watched the scene in amazement.
"Captain!"
Are you worried about the captain?
Just because he had the power of a fairy, his ability to act and made decisions was lower than that of the previous captain.
Even if you gained power, if your insides did not change, then it was a cat and a small coin, and a pig and a pearl.
Once you had the power, you must put in the effort to match it.
The knights who lost their captain lost their command and simply attacked.
I locked the remaining knights in the bear cage one after another.
"Okay, finished"
I pat the bear puppet as if to dust off my hands.
They weren't weak, but they were completely lacking in skills.
"What are you?"
A knight spoke out from the gap of the bear's cage.
"I just came to get the fairy back."
Rhone wasn't mine though. She was Prim's family. So it was not wrong.
"Rhone-sama."
"Don't be silly. Rhone-sama is the one who gave us power."
"I won't let you take her away."
"We will protect Rone-sama."
Maybe Rhone is admired?
"No. My sister isn't yours. She's my sister!"
Before I knew it, Prim had arrived, shouting at the knights in the bear cage.
"Fairy-sama?"
The moment the noisy knights saw Prim, they quieted down.
"I'll definitely take my sister home."
"Rhone-sama said that she had nowhere to go."
"The lord of this city was taken away by a man."
I would have gone with you. I wouldn't make such a tsukkomi.
If I said that, it would be complicated.
"The lord."
"That's why I will definitely take my sister home. She is my precious family."
"Family..."
"I'm sorry to say this, but do you know where Rhone is in the mansion?"
"......"
"......"
The knights looked at each other.
"No, I don't know. We only meet once in a while. Besides, the lord won't let us meet."
After all, it seemed like I had to take Noa with me.
If I had information about Rhone's whereabouts, I wouldn't have had to take Noa with me.
"Well, I'm sorry. Just stay in there for a while. I'll let you out when it's all over."
"Who are you, Miss? How can you defeat us?"
"At this girl's request, I'm an adventurer who came to rescue her sister."
"Adventurer..."
"Also, you say you defeated us, but with the help of the fairy's power, your individual power has increased, but your basic skills have not improved. Only that knight was decent."
I turned my attention to the knight who looked like a captain.
He stayed seated, probably because it was hurt from being slammed onto the ground.
"Just because you gained power, your actions and judgment are poor. It's proof that you're lazy."
The knights fell silent.
"Also, I'm sorry, but could you please give me your weapon? I don't want to be attacked after releasing you. Or do you want to be burned?"
I created a fireball and threatened them.
It would be troublesome if they attacked me after I released them.
The knights looked at their captain.
"……understood" ()
A person who looked like a captain threw his sword through the gap between the bears.
Then, the other knights also threw it.
Now, even if I released them later, they shouldn't be able to attack me.
After capturing the knight, I called Noa and she hugged me.
"What's wrong?" (Yuna)
"I was scared. I thought something would happen to Yuna-san." (Noa)
"You know I'm strong." (Yuna)
"Yes, but it's still dangerous." (Noa)
"Thank you for your concern." (Yuna)
I gently patted Noa's head.
"Then let's go to Rhone." (Yuna)
"Okay!" (Noa)
"Kuu~n" (Kuma-Kuma)
"Sister, I'm leaving now." (Prim)
We started walking towards the mansion.
"But the knight noticed, are you going to go undercover?"
"If the lord and Rhone don’t notice, it won’t happen."
"Is that what it is?"
There were games where you infiltrated someone, killed them from behind in the process, and headed towards your destination.
The point was that we didn't have to make a fuss if people found out we'd infiltrated.
Those knights couldn't escape, so they couldn't report to the lord.
Also, if the knights in the city or the knights who went outside the city came back. The guild master and others were causing a commotion in the city, and the knights who had left the city would have no way of knowing about us.
"And, you know, if Rhone finds out we're here, she might show up on her own. If she doesn't show up, Noa will just have to try her best." (Yuna)
"For some reason, I’m worried that Yuna-san will ruin the plan that the guild master have worked so hard to come up with." (Noa)
I felt like something terrible was being said to me.
"Yuna, Noa, let's go quickly." (Prim)
Noa and I followed Prim.
Author's Note
They were a little strong, but they were no match for Yuna.
In the next episode, we will break into the mansion.
