Author's Note
Volume 8 begins.
The main theme is interactions with subordinates. The entire chapter is similar to a "Where are they now?"
Therefore, there were fewer stories related to subordinates in Volume 7.
Three days had passed since we returned from the Gray World.
During these three days, the main focus was on testing the newly discovered ‹Broad Interpretation›, but even that wasn't something we did all day long. I spent my fulfilling days playing with Dora, training with Maria, chatting with Sakura, messing with Mio's cooking, and eating sweets with Sera.
As soon as the war with Eldia came to an end, a serious battle with Orihara began, and after somehow achieving victory, I then got to explore an unknown world. After such an exciting event, it was hard to feel like going on to the next bit of sightseeing right away. Since I had a mansion, it might be nice to spend some time relaxing there once in a while.
"How long do you think this relaxed mode will last?" (Mio)
"Probably, we'll be able to relax for at least another week or so." (Jin)
(Relaxing with Master) (Dora)
When asked by Mio, I guessed the length of this leisurely mode from my own experience. Sometimes, especially after a busy day, I found myself craving some relaxation. Well, although I had said I’d take it easy, it wasn’t as though there had been no events at all... But this time, I had planned to stay local, so I probably hadn’t been moving around too actively.
"... Playing against Orihara is exhausting. Just mentally. So I'm going to take a break for a while." (Jin)
"To make Master say something like that, that Orihara must be an incredible person, huh?" (Sera)
"Yes, and according to Jin-sama's story, even after his HP reached 0 he continued talking for a while, and then he killed himself in the end... No matter how you look at it, he's not a normal human being." (Maria)
As Sera and Maria were talking, I explained to my companions about the battle with Orihara. It would have been hard to believe that there was a being that could absorb Special Abilities, outwit them, and posessed status that could rival mine through the combined effects of Special Abilities, Blessingss, and Curses. When I actually wrote down the status I had confirmed, everyone's faces were all grimacing.
"Well, I've already defeated him once, so I don't think he'll be showing up for a while. He's not the kind of guy to do something so boring as to make a character reappear so soon after defeating him." (Jin)
"Another mysterious logic that only the two of you understand..." (Sakura)
"It's not like I agree with Orihara's thinking either." (Jin)
It was no wonder Sakura was smiling wryly. I explained Orihara's basic thought patterns to them, but no one except Mio could understand at all. Even Mio commented, "I understand what you're trying to say, but doing that in real life is crazy."
"This time, I definitely won't tolerate a surprise attack." (Maria)
"Oh, Maria-chan is on fire. Well, Master's Special Ability has also been significantly strengthened by Broad Interpretation, so he won't be defeated so easily, right?" (Mio)
I answered Mio's question by shaking my head. Certainly, my understanding of ‹Broad Interpretation› had deepened in these three days and I could do ordinary things now. However, that was a different story.
"I'm sure Orihara will take my growth into consideration, so it won't be that easy. At the very least, I don't think I'll be able to take it easy when I'm up against Orihara." (Jin)
"What is that...? Seriously, this is the highest evaluation of Master." (Mio)
If I grew, it would be safe to assume that Orihara would grow to the similar extent. It would be a fundamental mistake to think that I wouldn’t struggle against Orihara.
And if they had become allies, they would have been unnecessarily weakened (game logic).
"Well, that's enough about Orihara. Talking about him is just depressing and not productive. No matter how much you predict it or take measures, it will come when it happens, so it's a waste of time to even think about it." (Jin)
"Who is he really...?" (Mio)
We stopped talking to Orihara and continued hiking.
Currently, as C-rank adventurers (tentative), we had received an extermination request for the first time in a long while. What exactly does "relaxing" mean...?
You might be wondering why I was becoming an adventurer now, but there was a little reason behind it. In the first place, an adventurer's qualification was not something that could be used permanently once obtained—it had been subject to suspension if requests were not taken regularly. If there was an injury or other reason and the person requested it, it might be extended for a while, but basically, if no request was made within one month, you could assume that it would be suspended. And now my adventurer qualifications had been suspended. Well, that period passed while I was locked up in the Gray World... Even the extension hadn’t been possible because the person himself couldn't go...
Of course, now that I had a solid subordinate and strong abilities, having adventurer qualifications or not didn't make much difference. However, I still didn't like the idea of the qualification I worked so hard to obtain being suspended for such a pathetic reason.
Therefore, in order to lift the freeze on my adventurer qualifications, I decided to accept a C-rank quest. Furthermore, in order to lift the suspension, one must accept a subjugation request of the appropriate rank. Up until now, when I extended my adventurer qualifications, I was able to get away with doing simple gathering requests (just handing over what I had), but this time I couldn't do that. Well, it was to check if I had the skills to match my rank, so it was only natural.
"There's no need to walk all the way up the mountain, right? If we ride the Dragonnewt up the mountain, we can get there in no time, right?" (Jin)
"Blue-chan was also sulking. She was like, 'Why won't he ride me?!'" (Mio)
I remembered that when I told her I was going to accept the request, Blue puffed out her cheeks in protest.
"Well, lately I’ve been taking it easy, so I thought it would be a noble idea to go back to basics and get to work on my feet and complete requests. To put it more simply, it was a whim." (Jin)
"Jin-kun, you finally told us your true feelings..." (Sakura)
Well, there was also the fact that I was hesitant to use an unadventurer-like method like Dragonnewt to lift the suspension on my adventurer qualifications. In that sense, I wanted to be fair. Of course, it was not for me to say this, as I was the epitome of unfairness...
This time, the request I received was to subjugate the group led by the Goblin General who was nesting in the Gallant Mountain veins. The request was issued by the Adventurer's Guild in Quindam, the royal capital of Kastal Queendom. Originally, there were many strong monsters in the Gallant Mountain vein and the border was unclear, so both countries basically kept a distance from each other. However, recently, for some reason, a clear line was drawn and the entire area became Kastal territory, so requests that include entering the Gallant Mountain vein had officially been lifted. Of course, this "certain reason" referred to the Kastal Eldia War.
Now let me talk a little about the recent war between Kastal Queendom and Eldia Kingdom. As a result of this war, the defeated Eldia had ceased to exist as a nation and become a vassal of Kastal. It seemed that the name would remain as Eldia Territory for the time being.
Since there was also a handover of government affairs, it was not possible to remove all of the previous royal family. However, the king had been killed by the demons and the only remaining member of the royal family who had reached adulthood was Princess Christia. Since there was no other option, I decided to appoint Princess Christia as the lord's assistant, but I intended to eventually relieve her of her duties. Furthermore, since Princess Christia and all the underage royal family members had been enslaved, there was no need to worry about them rebelling against Kastal.
In addition, most of the current Eldia nobles were to be executed. That was probably inevitable. Sakuya had come to the Eldia territory as the head of the Kastal Queendom, so there was no need for people approaching her with ill will. I also heard that it was so bad that they decided to execute the nobles on the same day that Sakuya arrived.
However, this execution resulted in the deaths of many more nobles than expected, and if this continued, it would have a negative impact on national politics. Even for Sakuya, it was undesirable for the Eldia territory to fall into chaos, as it would bring chaos to Kastal as well. Ah, but even so, it seemed the nobles were so cruel that they didn't stop the executions. However, Kastal could not gather enough nobles to send to Eldia. Even if it had become a vassal state, there were not many nobles who would willingly go to a defeated country.
After much deliberation, Sakuya finally came to the conclusion that she wanted to become a maid. Yes, currently, the politics of Eldia territory were run by the maids under my command. Why did it turn out like that...
[Because Master wanted the Give and Take rights of Eldia Kingdom. I accepted Sakuya's proposal as a godsend and took charge of the internal affairs of Eldia territory.]
(Alta)
That seems to be what it means.
The maids had no affection or obligation towards Eldia. Since it was my enemy, they seemed to be trying their best to be ruthless in their work. It had been said that it wasn’t land I should protect, but something to view like a ranch. The citizens, it seemed, had been regarded as livestock. The maids' reactions to my enemies were amazing.
Furthermore, the victorious country used its authority to force the abolition of the state religion. For the time being, churches and the like were left alone since it was apparently the largest religion in the world, but they couldn't act all high and mighty like before. They were corrupt anyway.
This was a complete digression, but when the maids became involved in domestic affairs, it became necessary for them to have a certain level of status. Therefore, the maids in charge were each given noble titles. Normally, it was not that easy to become a noble, but fortunately, or perhaps I should say, there were a lot of vacant seats in the noble ranks, so somehow, they managed to get through. Thus, the extremely rare maid nobles were born. Furthermore, the majority of the maids under my command were slaves. Slave maid nobles—it had been completely incomprehensible.
Now, let's get back to the request. The request this time was to defeat a goblin general that had appeared near the foot of the Gallant Mountain vein. The monsters in the Gallant Mountain vein suddenly became stronger from the middle of the mountain, but they weren't that strong near the base. Even so, if we faced a group led by a Goblin General, the difficulty level would be equivalent to C rank. This time, it became clear that the adventurers had happened to discover the herd and managed to escape, but if they had been unlucky, the herd might have spread to a nearby village.
Now, let me tell you why we chose this request. Well, it'd be quicker if I just had someone take a look at it.
Goblin General (Abnormal, Lv50)
Skills: ‹Physical Strengthening Lv5› ‹Sword Mastery Lv5› ‹Command Lv5› ‹Rousing Lv5›
Note : A commander of goblins.
...So, he's an abnormal breed of Goblin General. Although he didn't have rare skills, his levels and stats far exceeded those of normal species. If an average C-rank adventurer were to challenge this Goblin General, there'd be a 100% chance of death.
While looking at the requests, I heard from Alta that some rare species were casually slipping into C-rank requests, so I thought I'd give it a try. Fighting someone who was way above the rank of the request was a template for adventurers. It felt a bit late now though... The other noble objective was to prevent adventurers from carelessly accepting this request and being killed in return—that was about 2%.
"I know it’s a little late now, but you all didn’t need to come all the way here, right? It would have been an instant kill anyway, and it’s not like your adventurer qualifications have been suspended…" (Jin)
"It's too late now. There's no way I'm going to leave your side, Jin-sama." (Maria)
(If Master is going, Dora is going too!) (Dora)
Well, maybe Maria and Dora did, but why is everyone else following along?
"We also felt like going on an adventure with Master for the first time in a long time." (Sera)
"That's true. Our adventure business was closed, so we need to do some proper work every once in a while." (Mio)
"It was a bit painful to call myself an adventurer just to hand over the materials I had on hand..." (Sakura)
"That's true. The materials were also obtained through Chamber of Advanced Commerce." (Sera)
"I... I gave away the things I obtained myself... I feel guilty..." (Sakura)
It probably wasn't a good idea to accept a request just to maintain your qualifications. I felt like Sakura was worrying too much though...
If I think of this request as something to do on the side while on a picnic, it probably isn't so bad.
[No ordinary person would go on a picnic in a mountain range where C-rank monsters roam.]
(Alta)
That's right.
After walking for a while, we approached a group of about 50 goblins led by a Goblin General.
"So, Master, how do we eliminate them? There are loads of ways to defeat them, right?" (Sera)
"That's right. While we're at it, let's use ‹Broad Interpretation› to defeat them." (Jin)
I took out the Goblin Swordsman's Sword from ‹Infinite Storage›. As you know, this was the first weapon I obtained after coming to this world. Now it was no longer a weapon fit for use, but when I used ‹Broad Interpretation›, it worked miraculously.
Goblin Swordsman's Sword
Category: One-handed sword
Rarity : Common
This is,
Goblin Swordsman's Sword (+99)
Category: One-handed sword
Rarity : Treasure class (Artifact)
Notes : Knockback effect, weapon destruction, automatic repair
This was what happened.
‹Broad Interpretation› could be used not only on Special Abilities and skills, but also on items. When used on a weapon, it seemed to increase the rarity by 1 or 2 levels. The Goblin Sword had surpassed the rare level and reached the artifact level. +99 didn't mean much. It might be fun to defeat an aberrant Goblin General with Goblin-made weapons.
"Well, I'm off then." (Jin)
"Jin-sama, take care on your way." (Maria)
"Take care~!" (Mio)
(Care~!) (Dora)
With my companions seeing me off, I charged alone into the group of goblins.
The goblin horde was annihilated in 1 minute 15 seconds. If the goblins hadn't fled there, it could have been 5 seconds shorter. Too bad.
Having achieved my goal, I released ‹Broad Interpretation› that I used on the Goblin Swordsman's Sword. At that moment, the Goblin Swordsman's Sword crumbled into pieces.
"So, if I use ‹Broad Interpretation› on an item, it will break..." (Jin)
Perhaps the effect of Special Abilities was so great that if I used ‹Broad Interpretation› on an item, the item would disintegrate as soon as the effect was removed. This was my first time using it on a weapon and it was more powerful than I expected. However, unlike using it on consumables like medicine, I didn't really like using it on weapons because it would break. I only felt like using it this time because it was a trial. Also, I had a lot of Goblin Swordsman's Sword left over from my time hunting Goblins...
Since we had come all the way here, we decided to enjoy a leisurely lunch in the flower field we found on the map. It felt like a picnic.
"Picnic staples! Sandwiches, rice balls, fried chicken, and rolled eggs. Of course, there are lots of other things too." (Mio)
"It looks delicious!" (Sera)
(Yay!) (Dora)
Mio said confidently as she arranged the food in the basket on the picnic blanket. It had certainly been classic. Mio had clearly understood the template. However, if I had to nitpick, taking the basket out of ‹Infinite Storage› might have been a point deduction.
(Mio, what's this?) (Dora)
"Dora-chan, that's an octopus sausage. It's also a bento staple." (Mio)
(Where is Tamo-san?) (Dora)
"What a shame!" (Mio)
What does the classic octopus sausage look like to Dora? By the way, Tamo-san was currently going around defeating any monsters that approached us.
"This is the first time in my life that I've come on a picnic with close friends..." (Sakura)
Sakura muttered softly, and I couldn't help but turn my attention in that direction. However, although it seemed likely that she was suffering from trauma, there was no dark emotion in Sakura's eyes.
"It's okay... After all, you can come with everyone anytime from now on..." (Sakura)
"That's right. Sakura, If you want, you could even produce the picnic." (Mio)
"That might be a good idea..." (Sakura)
It seems that Sakura's trauma was improving. It likely hadn’t been completely cured, nor was it clear if it ever would be, but if there had been fewer gloomy expressions than before, it must undoubtedly have been a good thing.
"If it's produced by Sakura-sama, then just thinking about the name, it can't be anything other than a cherry blossom viewing event!" (Mio)
"Does the name Sakura-sama have anything to do with it?" (Sera)
"Eh? Ah, there are no cherry blossoms here. What a shame..." (Mio)
Mio enthusiastically showed off a pun, but was shot down by Sera's question.
"Just to let you know, cherry blossoms are the standard tree for flower viewing in the other world." (Mio)
"Oh, so the name Sakura-sama comes from that tree, doesn't it?" (Sera)
Sera looked convinced by Mio's explanation.
"Yes... Apparently, I was named in the hope that I would become a person who can make those close to me smile, just like the cherry blossom tree... But my name is a bit off..." (Sakura)
"That's not true. It was only thanks to you, Sakura-sama, that my deficiencies were healed by the Revive magic. Of all Jin-sama's subordinates, I'm most grateful to you after Jin-sama himself. I think Sakura-sama is more than capable of making everyone smile." (Maria)
Sakura said this self-deprecatingly, while Maria denied it.
"That's true. Thanks to the Energy Ball magic I no longer go hungry, so I'm also very grateful to you, Sakura-sama." (Sera)
"Hearing you say that makes me feel a little better... I'd like to go cherry blossom viewing as well..." (Sakura)
Sakura said with a faint smile. Yeah, it's definitely better when a cute girl is smiling, right?
As an aside, Alta told me that there was a tree that resembles a cherry blossom in Izumo Kingdom. Sakura also wanted this, so we would do our best to plan a cherry blossom viewing party.
Now that the picnic (In high-level monsters' habitat) was over, we returned to the royal capital, Kastal. With the words "Follow through to the beginning" and "The excursion doesn't end until you get home" in mind, on the way back we didn't use Portal or anything like that, but instead we took a carriage. If we returned by noon, we would arrive at the royal capital by evening. Just to be clear, the driver this time was Maria, not Asha, the monster and beast expert. ...Well, I mean, it wouldn't make sense for an adventurer receiving a C-rank request to have an A-rank adventurer as the driver, right?
We arrived at the royal capital without incident and headed to the adventurer's guild to report. To be precise, it was just me and Maria...
I reported the completion of the request to the guild receptionist, showed the Goblin General's magic stone, and explained that it was abnormally strong. The term "abnormal species" wasn't widely used, but it was known that on rare occasions, stronger monsters than normal appear, so we concluded that this was probably the case.
Also, unfortunately, there was no bonus in the reward amount even if we defeated the abnormal species. The quest that was accepted in order to unsuspend my adventurer's qualifications had a strong penalty aspect to it. Therefore, they often give suspended quests with low rewards, and it seemed that there was no such service. Although I did have the right to choose which requests to accept, the rewards were all very low compared to the effort involved. If you encountered an abnormal species while doing such a request, the reward wouldn't increase... It was fine for me since I was not short on money, but for a normal adventurer, it would be pretty depressing.
"Here comes your reward." (Receptionist)
"Yes, thank you very much." (Jin)
When the general request had been discussed and the receptionist was about to go fetch the reward, there was a sudden commotion at the entrance to the Adventurer's Guild.
—Clang!—
"Ah, Claude! You've come back♡" (Receptionist)
The receptionist suddenly rose from her chair, left me behind, and started running towards the entrance. She had been wearing a serious sales-like expression up until then, but his expression suddenly changed to one of feverish disregard for her duties, which shocked me. I see, the commotion at the entrance was because Claude's party had come in.
Unlike me, Claude and his party were active as adventurers and were now skilled adventurers who ranked among the A-rank adventurers. Well, since I told him to become an S-rank adventurer, it would only natural that he was motivated... He was mainly active in Kastal, but he also went to the neighboring Atto Union and was doing quite a showy job. On top of that, he was serious and talented, so he was quite popular.
He didn't notice Maria and I there and was busy talking with the adventurers and receptionists around him. Eventually, one of the large adventurers near Claude spoke up in a loud voice.
"As expected of Claude! Almost at S-rank!" (Cougar)
"Cougar-san! We've only received approval from two countries! You're jumping the gun!" (Claude)
Claude tried to stop him, but that adventurer didn't stop.
"Even so, it's only been a little over a month since I became S-rank! That's too early!" (Cougar)
Come to think of it, Claude and his party said that they were close to becoming S-rank adventurers. Incidentally, the adventurer who was talking to Claude and his party seemed to be an S-rank adventurer. Unfortunately, he didn't have any particularly outstanding unique skills, but the fact that he reached S-rank without any unique skills meant he must be quite talented.
I felt like looking into it and found that in order to become an S-rank adventurer, one needed to meet two main conditions.
The first was to receive recommendations from the Adventurer's Guilds of three countries stating that you are worthy of being an S-rank adventurer. Since a recommendation from just one Adventurer's Guild was not enough to provide an objective judgment, an individual must have their abilities recognized in the major cities of at least three countries to qualify to take the exam to become an S-rank adventurer.
The second was a practical test. However, unlike the tests for other ranks, it was not possible to have an S-rank equivalent test be taken by an S-rank adventurer as an examiner. This was because requests equivalent to S-rank rarely came up. Another pathetic reason was that S-rank adventurers were often fickle, so it was rare to catch one at the right time. Therefore, the theme of the S-rank practical exam was as follows.
"To accomplish a feat equivalent to completing an S-rank request."
It was vague. So vague, in fact, that it had been almost infinitely vague. Simply put, it meant, "It doesn't have to be a request, but please do something amazing." It was so vague that it made me question how the Adventurer's Guild was being run.
The other day, Claude and his party were recommended to become S-rank by the Adventurer's Guild of Gashas Kingdom, one of the countries of the Atto Union. Needless to say, they have also received a recommendation from the adventurer's guild of Kastal. Therefore, if he could receive one more country's recommendation, he would be able to take the practical exam for S-rank adventurers. Once that happened, it would be an easy test where all he had to do was defeat some strong opponents.
The S-rank adventurer asked, tapping Claude on the shoulder.
"So, which country are you going to? The Atto Union can only accept one recommendation from among the allied nations, so you'll have to go somewhere else, right?" (Cougar)
"Yes, I'm thinking about going to Estia Kingdom. I'm also interested in labyrinths, and since that country places a high emphasis on explorers and has very few adventurers, I think we could be of some use." (Claude)
"Oh dear, I'm gonna miss you Claude" (Receptionist)
The receptionist (our representative) who had been listening to the conversation spoke up in a soothing voice. Hey, do your job.
"Sorry. But this is our home, so we'll come back here someday. Maybe we'll be S-rank by then." (Claude)
"Kyaaa!" (Receptionists, x2)
The receptionists squealed when they heard Claude reply with a refreshing smile. Rumor had it that a romantic relationship with a receptionist was one of the dreams of adventurers. It seemed that Claude had achieved one of those dreams (templates). He was really popular. Me? I had decided to ignore romance-related templates, so maybe it wouldn't really matter. It was my fault for not leaving a good impression on the first receptionist (Eldia).
"By the way, I'd like to report on the completion of this request. Is that okay?" (Claude)
"It's okay. Just wait a moment. I'll bring the documents right away." (Receptionist)
With that said, the receptionist in charge of us tried to help Claude and his party. No matter what, that wouldn't work.
"Hey, our reward comes first." (Jin)
I didn't intend to wait any longer so I called out to the receptionist. Then, the receptionist suddenly looked displeased and glared at me. Claude also seemed to notice me and gave a slight nod.
"What are you talking about?! Of course, the guild's most promising adventurer, Claude, is the priority! Adventurers like you who have their qualifications suspended will be put on hold for later! Postponed!" (Receptionist)
"Wa—?!" (Jin)
It was Claude whose face turned pale at the receptionist's rude remark. Maria was holding [Moonlight Divine Sword - Lunar Light], a dagger that was transparent in her hand. As expected, it seemed she wouldn't attack without my permission... Me? I missed the chance to get angry because Claude was scared and Maria lost her temper.
"I-I don't like people who abandon their work halfway through!" (Claude)
"Ugh!?" (Receptionist)
In order not to upset me, Claude delivered a powerful blow to the receptionist. The receptionist groaned and stiffened.
"I'm just an adventurer. I don't want to be treated specially and have Jin-sama pushed aside. It's just annoying!" (Claude)
"Ugh!?" (Receptionist)
The receptionist was given a follow-up attack and she turned towards me, making grating noises like a robot that had run out of oil.
"Now... I will bring you... your reward..." (Receptionist)
The ghostly, lifeless receptionist went to fetch the reward.
Since Claude settled the matter himself, I wouldn't have to punish her.
"Hey, are you Jin?" (Cougar)
While I was waiting for the receptionist to bring my reward, the S-rank adventurer—Cougar, I believe he was called—who had been talking to Claude, started talking to me.
"Yes, that's right." (Jin)
"My name is Cougar. There’s one thing I’d like to ask you… What is your relationship with Claude and his party? Earlier, Claude called you Jin-sama. What on earth is it that Claude calls you with title?" (Cougar)
Claude, you let something slip in a weird place. For now, I have prepared a public facade for my relationship with Claude and his party, so I guess I'll use that.
"I'm Claude's mentor. I limit my adventures to C-rank." (Jin)
"So you're the mentor I've heard about..." (Cougar)
Huh? Is that a rumor? Seriously?
[Yes. Claude and his party do not hide the fact that they have a mentor, but no one has ever seen them working together with their mentor (Master), and it is thought to be odd that such a skilled adventurer would remain unknown. Rumors are circulating that he may already be deceased, that he may be some kind of spirit that only they can see, or that he moves too fast to be seen.] (Alta)
I understand that rumors are spreading, but I can't accept the rumors that are spreading. Especially the last one! Am I a skyfish?!
"Eh...?" (Receptionist)
Just then, the receptionist returned with the reward and dropped the bag she was holding when she heard what I was said. The receptionist was drenched in cold sweat and looked incredibly awkward. The person she had boldly spoken ill of had turned out to be the mentor of someone she liked. Thinking about how the person she liked might have seen such behavior, it had been only natural for me to react that way.
"Don't undercut our reward." (Jin)
"Ah, yes! I'm sorry! About earlier!" (Receptionist)
The receptionist, with tears in her eyes, picked up the bag she had dropped and handed it to me, then bowed deeply in apology. Well, there was nothing she could do but apologize.
"Can we continue our talk?" (Cougar)
It seemed Cougar still had something he wanted to talk about. From the looks of it, I didn't think he was asking out of simple curiosity, so I had a feeling that was the case.
"Oh, is there something you need?" (Jin)
"It'll be quick. Well then, let me get to it." (Cougar)
With that said, Cougar took a deep breath.
"I challenge you to a duel!" (Cougar)
The duel event at the Adventurer's Guild was a cliché, but—It's too late now! Moreover, when visiting the adventurer's guild for the somewhat unimpressive reason of lifting the suspension on the adventurer qualification, wouldn't it have been better if such an event hadn’t occurred?
Author's Note
Jin has good timing in many ways, but for some reason he always deviates slightly from the template.
