"D-Damn it. If I'd known it would be like this, I should have shown my true power sooner..." (Schubert)
"It's too late to regret it now..." (Jin)
"...*nod nod*" (Grayman)
The glow of her "true power" had already completely vanished, and all that remained was a broken-down angel (Schubert) who had almost completely lost her sense of presence. As Schubert's presence diminished, the Grayman's trembling also subsided before I knew it.
"Not yet! I'm not done yet! Come on! Hollow Beast! Protect me!" (Schubert)
Schubert didn't seem ready to give up yet, and called out loudly to the Hollow Beastss. I've wiped out all the Hollow Beast in this area, but I wonder if she can call for Hollow Beast that are far away?
[If it's a Hollow Beast created by Schubert, she can call them no matter how far away they are. This is not due to the characteristics of ‹Hollow Beast Creation›, but ‹Divine Authority›.]
(Alta)
Although traits weren't supposed to be skills, they did have some useful effects. Since it's not a skill, it couldn't be taken away with ‹Power of Life and Death›...
"Soon, countless Hollow Beast will arrive here. There's no way even you guys can handle them! This is the end for you! Hahahahahahaha!" (Schubert)
Schubert laughed loudly as if she was sure of victory. However, since I had wiped out all the Hollow Beastss in the nearby area, it seemed it would take some time for them to get here.
"Hey, haven't the Hollow Beastss arrived yet?" (Jin)
"Wait, wait! Hold on a minute! They'll be here in a little while!" (Schubert)
...Five minutes later.
"It's true some Hollow Beastss have come. But unfortunately, I can count them all?" (Jin)
"Wh, why are only these coming..." (Schubert)
A total of four Hollow Beastss arrived: one Phoenix, one Sky King Beast, one Divine Wolf, and one One-eyed Giant. Far from being countless, I could count them with my fingers of one hand. I thought it would take a while for them to arrive because of the distance, but the Hollow Beastss really aren't getting any closer. This is the end of this. Why?
[She can call the Hollow Beastss, but it is up to the Hollow Beast to decide whether to follow the instructions or not. Most Hollow Beastss choose to ignore Schubert's crisis.]
(Alta)
In other words, she was abandoned by the Hollow Beastss she created? Schubert is so devoid of virtue that it's almost funny.... Schubert and the Hollow Beastss were both complete losers. However, as soon as the Hollow Beastss arrived, they were killed instantly by Maria. She wanted me to focus on the battle against the Archangel, so she volunteered to clear the way.
"You've been abandoned by the Hollow Beastss." (Jin)
"Huh?! Wh-what are you talking about?! That's not true!" (Schubert)
"But the Hollow Beastss haven't come yet. You called them, but they didn't come, right?" (Jin)
"Th-hat's stupid..." (Schubert)
Schubert was shocked, but there was also a look of resignation on her face. I guessed she was vaguely aware of it herself.
The broken angel had become unable to act due to lack of energy caused by self-destruction, and the Hollow Beastss summoning, which was her last hope, had failed. It seemed that she was finally running out of options, should I ask her about this world one more time? Now that she was weak, she would be able to talk more easily.
"Well, you didn't answer me earlier, but have you changed your mind? Are you planning on explaining the world to me?" (Jin)
"Don't mess with me! No matter how many times you ask, I'm not going to tell you guys anything!" (Schubert)
She was more stubborn than I thought.
"Hmm, if that's the case, unfortunately I'll have to find out by force." (Jin)
"What?! You think I'll talk if you torture me?! Don't underestimate me! If you can do it, then go ahead and try!" (Schubert)
"Okay then, I'll do that." (Jin)
—BOOM!!!—
I delivered a final punch to Schubert's stomach. "Forcing information out" was not as easy as torture.
"Guh! Weren't you supposed to find out...?!" (Schubert)
"I'll find out after I absorb you." (Jin)
The punch to her stomach wiped out her remaining energy, and the dying Schubert, who had turned into particles of light, was absorbed by ‹Power of Life and Death Lv8›. Then, it was reconstructed as a pseudo-personality using ‹Parallel Mind Lv4›. Yes, the method of "forcefully extracting information" was an inhumane act of killing the person, absorbing them, reconstructing their personality, and then forcing them to give up the information (angels had no human rights).
"If you had answered honestly, you would have become Archangel Tamo-san. Well, I wanted the information, so I guess it can't be helped..." (Jin)
(Too bad) (Tamo)
Tamo-san groaned in disappointment as he removed the Grayman's Tamo-san armor. There was also a proposal to have Tamo-san absorb the Archangel Schubert. However, since Schubert didn't answer my questions, I had no choice but to absorb her myself (lengthy persuasion was not an option from the start). Since we had gone to the trouble of having Tamo-san use ‹Absorption› on all of the Hollow Beastss, it would have made more sense to have Tamo-san use ‹Absorption› on Schubert, their boss, as well...
In the first place, there was no benefit to me in absorbing Schubert other than information. First, if I absorbed her, I should get Schubert's skills and be able to use them—but since Schubert didn't have skills, it was pointless. Since it was not possible to acquire "characteristics", it would be impossible to produce the Hollow Beast. If Tamo-san had use ‹Absorption›, unlike me, he would simply use ‹Mimic› so he'd be able to accurately reproduce its characteristics.
Of course, it was possible to give a temporary body using ‹Parallel Mind Lv5› but the "temporary body" did not inherit most of the original characteristics. Therefore, no one could produce the Hollow Beast anymore. It was a real shame.
›› A new Special Ability has been unlocked.
‹Broad Interpretation Lv1›
You can strengthen and expand the effects of skills, abilities, and items you possess. You can use up to 10 of these abilities at the same time, and by canceling the strengthening or expansion, you will be able to strengthen other targets.
Yes. I didn't know why, but I had awakened to a new Special Ability. …It feels like it's been a long time since I've awakened a new Special Ability, but the fact that it awakened at this timing means that it must be the kind of Special Ability that will solve my problems. Let's see…….
It was a fairly vague Special Ability, but I felt like this was something extremely incredible. It seemed to strengthen and expand skills, abilities, and items, but just how much could it be strengthened?
"Maria, I've discovered a new Special Ability, so I'm going to try it out." (Jin)
"Okay. Be careful." (Maria)
"...*?*" (Grayman)
Maria had gotten used to it and wasn't surprised by my sudden behavior. Meanwhile, the Grayman was tilting his head in confusion.
For now, I would try activating ‹Broad Interpretation> on ‹Flash Step›. Skill ‹Flash Step› was at level 10, allowing me to travel a distance of 14 meters in an instant.
First, let's try to move a distance of 20m with the strengthened ‹Flash Step›. … Success.
Next, try moving 30m. ...Success.
40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100m. ...All success.
I felt like I could still do it...
"This... might be dangerous." (Jin)
"Jin-sama, what exactly have you done? It looked like you were using ‹Flash Step›... No, but it shouldn't be possible to travel that far with ‹Flash Step›." (Maria)
It was probably because Maria was also using ‹Flash Step› that she noticed how strange the scene was.
"It appears to be a power that can enhance existing skills, abilities, and items. I tried using it on ‹Flash Step› and as you can see, it worked. I think it can probably go about ten times as far." (Jin)
"That is... a truly incredible power. As expected from Jin-sama." (Maria)
"Let's test it out a bit more. I feel like this power is seriously dangerous." (Jin)
So, the pseudo-personification of Schubert will be put off for now. No no, that's not the time...
"I wonder what I should try using it for next... I actually want to follow the template and strengthen ‹Fire Magic›, 'Fireball', but I can't use magic in this world." (Jin)
[If it's magic that uses ‹Broad Interpretation›, it can be used in this world. However, you cannot travel between worlds using Portal.]
(Alta)
Apparently, by using ‹Broad Interpretation›, it becomes possible to ignore the rule that "Magic cannot be used in this world." What is that? Amazing.
I used ‹Broad Interpretation› on ‹Fire Magic›. Then I used ‹Chantless› to activate a Fireball. Naturally, I aimed it towards a place where there was no one around.
"Fireball!" (Jin)
The moment I cast the spell, a mass of fire over 10 meters in size appeared in front of me. I erased it.
"This is crazy. Just by casting it you can tell what's crazy about it, not only is its power obvious, but the amount of magical power (MP) consumed is the same as a normal Fireball. Only the power and range have increased. It's completely ignoring all existing rules." (Jin)
It even completely ignored the very obvious rule "The more powerful the magic, the more MP it consumes." It was not a new thing for a Special Ability to ignore the rules, but this ‹Broad Interpretation› seemed to have a particularly strong influence.
"Jin-sama, if you used that Special Ability to cast level 10 magic, wouldn't that be enough to destroy an entire country? Not just the capital, but the entire territory..." (Maria)
"Probably, it won't be that difficult..." (Jin)
"...*trembling, trembling, trembling*" (Grayman)
No matter how you look at it, this is clearly an excessive amount of force. Look, the Grayman is really scared too. It's okay. There's nothing to be scared of. As I stroked the Grayman soothingly, his trembling seemed to calm down. He was supposed to be scared of me, so how was it that I was able to soothe him and make him calm down?
"This power can be dangerous if not used seriously. There's no telling what might happen if you do it carelessly. Before using it, we must first check with Alta and verify it." (Jin)
"Yes. In that sense, this place seems perfect. We can try out various things without bothering anyone." (Maria)
"Indeed, you could say that. This would be a perfect place to test special abilities." (Jin)
It was a world where there was no one to get involved in, and there was also a perfect target called Hollow Beast. I'm not Orihara, but this world is convenient in many ways.
By the way, Alta. What happens if I use ‹Broad Interpretation› on a Special Ability?
[Since special abilities are inherently higher-level than skills, even if they are affected by ‹Broad Interpretation›, they are not expected to be strengthened as much as skills. However, since the original effect is so great, it probably wouldn't hurt to use it on your special abilities.]
(Alta)
For example, what kind of effects does it have?
[When used on a Special Ability, for example, if you use it on a ‹Clairvoyance›, the map range will expand, and you will be able to see more detailed information. If you use it on an ‹Avatar›, the accuracy of the temporary body given to the pseudo-personality will increase. To be more specific, you can even reproduce the characteristics of Hollow Beastss or the Archangel.]
(Alta)
This time, my power was awakened at the same time that I absorbed Archangel and complained about its properties going to waste, so naturally that issue had been resolved. Now, I can use the power of the Archangel to create as many Hollow Beastss as I want. Of course, the question is, what's the point of being able to do that...?
For now, I would follow Alta's advice and use ‹Broad Interpretation› on five of my Special Abilities. I'd put the other five on hold and use them whenever I need them.
Although it was put off until later since a Special Ability had been awakened, the reconstruction of Schubert's pseudo-personality had also been completed. I guess it's time to get some information out of Schubert.
[Now, let's start with Schubert.]
(Alta)
[Hmm? Where am I? Hey, what's going on? I can't move! No, I don't even have a body... What on earth am I...]
(Schubert)
[It was annoying, so we stopped you for now.]
(Alta)
It couldn't be helped, she was really annoying.
[Force install basic information in stopped state. Set voice volume as restriction. Set prohibited words. Apply level 10 pain upon violation. Restart.]
(Alta)
[Are you kidding me? Why should I have to be used by some human? You bastard.....GAGAGAGAGGAGAGGAGAGAGAGA....]
(Schubert)
[We have decided to forcefully stop you as it is harmful to Master. We will not release you in the open until the adjustments are complete.]
(Alta)
As expected, Alta was harsh and merciless towards pseudo-personalities.
Does not appearing in the open mean that we cannot get information about this world from Schubert? That was the original purpose of absorbing Schubert, so this is putting the cart before the horse. However, in the current state I wouldn't be able to hear her properly, so I guess it would end up being the same in the end, huh...
[No problem. When reconstructed as a pseudo-personality, all of Schubert's memory information was reviewed. Apparently, she was placed in a state where she was given the bare minimum of information, and she didn't have much information.]
(Alta)
Alta was so capable that Schubert's role as a pseudo-personality disappeared. I see, so Alta has now become able to view the memories of pseudo-personalities.
And I'm disappointed that Schubert doesn't have any good information. I guess she's a piece of junk after all, huh...
[We will train her to a level where it will be no problem to put her in front of Master, so please wait a while for Schubert to appear.]
(Alta)
"Training an Archangel" sounds quite impressive. Well, at this rate it's tiring to deal with her, so maybe I should leave it to you, Alta?
[Yes, leave it to me.]
(Alta)
I left the Schubert matter entirely to Alta and asked her about the information she had managed to get. What I'm most curious about is where the Gate of Boundary is connected to. It seems that Schubert was in a position like a gatekeeper, so maybe she knows where it's connected to in the other world?
[I don't know.]
(Alta)
Why was this world abandoned by the Goddess? Do you know what kind of world it was originally?
[I don't know.]
(Alta)
Are Hollow Beastss and Graymen the only ones in this world? And what on earth are Graymen anyway?
[I don't know.]
(Alta)
There was less important information than I thought. That Archangel is really useless... —Well, in a way, that might be the case. Giving too much detailed information to the gatekeeper increased the risk of unnecessary information leaks. It certainly made sense to give the gatekeepers only the bare minimum of information.
As an aside, this meant that there was no longer any benefit to having Schubert personified. Her role of generating Hollow Beastss remained, but the same thing could be done if Tamo-san used ‹Absorption› on her. There was nothing that only the pseudo-personality of Schubert could do. Moreover, the pseudo-personality was waiting to be trained. I guessed this was a bit of a failure...
Now that I had checked out everything I gained from the battle with Schubert, I thought it was time to start preparing to return to the other world.
First of all, the first thing we needed to do was eliminate the remaining Hollow Beastss. Now that we had defeated the Archangel, there would be no more Hollow Beast. And now that I had acquired the characteristics of the Archangel, we could create any Hollow Beastss at any time. Therefore, the existing Hollow Beastss were nothing but a nuisance. In other words, it was okay to kill them.
We decided to place a Portal in front of the Gate of Boundary and divide the work between us to defeat the Hollow Beastss. It seemed that Portal could work in both worlds. And now that I had strengthened ‹Portal›, all of my subordinates would be able to receive its benefits through ‹Bond of Contract›.
"‹Continuous Flying Slashes›! ‹Flash Step›! ‹Continuous Flying Slashes›! ‹Flash Step›! ‹Continuous Flying Slashes›! ‹Flash Step›! ‹Continuous Flying Slashes›! ‹Flash Step›!" (Jin)
With the strengthened ‹Flash Step› I ran freely through the ruined city of buildings, annihilating enemies using the rapid-fire of ‹Flying Slash› attacks. Furthermore, I did not use ‹Broad Interpretation› on ‹Flying Slash› because I received an answer from Alta that there was no problem to use it if it was okay to destroy the entire city buildings without leaving a trace behind.
Maria hunted the Hollow Beastss using roughly the same tactics as me. Tamo-san had become the Sky King Beast Tamo-san and was ravaging the Hollow Beastss from the sky. Tamo-san's attacks were the flashiest. Well, if I were to use a flashy attack, the damage would be huge, so that was inevitable.
Meanwhile, the Grayman would be staying at home in front of the Gate of Boundary. Just to be safe, he was together with Alta's Device, Vega.
As the map expanded, the search range increased, making annihilation more efficient than ever before, and the remaining Hollow Beastss were wiped out in just two hours. Of course, the experience points were also great. Combined with the experience points from the Archangel, I had finally surpassed level 2000.
That was good. I was a bit upset that I lost to Orihara in terms of level...
With the annihilation of Hollow Beastss completed and confirming that there was nothing left to do in this world, we gathered in front of the Gate of Boundary. It was unclear where the Gate of Boundary led to, but there was no way there would be any traps at the destination. I couldn't imagine Orihara would set a trap that wouldn't add any excitement to the event. Still, it would be best to at least warn people about it.
"I think it'll be fine, but be careful when crossing Gate of Boundary." (Jin)
"Of course. I will never expose myself to such a disgrace again. Absolutely not..." (Maria)
Maria declared with a strong determination in her eyes. The disgraceful scene must had been when Orihara's scheme got him teleporting me right in front of her eyes. I didn't really care, but Maria seemed to care a lot.
"Maria, try not to dwell too much on the past." (Jin)
"Yes... Thank you for your concern." (Maria)
Hmm, even if I encourage her, it might just have the opposite effect...
In reality, if you asked me how I could have stopped Orihara from doing that, I would say... it's impossible, right? No matter how you look at it, it was impossible to avoid, right? I didn't even have the time to avoid it... It was just that Orihara was out of the ordinary to come up with such a move, but Maria didn't do anything wrong at all.
"It would have been impossible to avoid that unless you had precognition." (Jin)
"Precognition... I see, is that an option?" (Maria)
"No, I was just joking..." (Jin)
"Jin-sama, I'll definitely acquire the precognition ability!" (Maria)
"Oh, yeah..." (Jin)
It seemed that I had pressed some strange switch in Maria. First of all, does the ‹Precognition› skill even exist in this world? It's a fairly common skill, so I don't think it's unlikely that it exists...
[Yes, there are several skills related to Precognition. All of them are unique skills.]
(Alta)
It seemed it existed after all. And what was scary was that Maria might actually learn a skill that's related to Precognition.
Regardless of Maria's future training plan, it was about time to really cross the Gate of Boundary. I opened the metal door of the Gate of Boundary. Beyond it was a swirling light, making it impossible to see through. The Gate of Boundary was surprisingly large, with plenty of room for the three of us to lie down.
"Well then, let's hold hands and go through the Gate of Boundary together." (Jin)
"Yes" (Maria)
(Roger……) (Tamo)
"...*nod*" (Grayman)
We were lined up in a row, with me in the center, Maria on my right and the Grayman (wearing the Tamo-san armor) on my left, holding hands. Furthermore, Vega was inside ‹Infinite Storage›.
"Let's go!" (Jin)
I took Maria and the Grayman (with Tamo-san) by the hand and together we jumped through the Gate of Boundary.
As soon as I entered the Gate of Boundary, the view changed. It seemed we were indoors, and there were no lights, so it was pitch black.
"Light Ball." (Maria)
Maria used ‹Light Magic› to secure a light source. Being able to use magic without Broad Interpretation must mean that we were able to return to the origin world. Looking closely, I could see that the room was now lit by light and that there were colors other than gray.
"Apparently, it looks like we returned safely, didn't we?" (Maria)
"Oh, that's good, but where exactly are we?" (Jin)
"...*?*" (Grayman)
[If we were to compare it to a country, it would be the Elgant Divine Country]
(Alta)
Elgant Divine Country? I don't like the idea of a Divine Country. ...For now, I'd put my personal preferences aside and listen to what she had to say.
"The Elgant Divine Country? What kind of country is it?" (Jin)
[It is a religious powerhouse located north of Eldia Kingdom, beyond Sera's hometown, the Sanokia Kingdom. The state religion is the Faith of the Goddess. It is also the country where the Heroes, who opposed the war in Eldia, is staying.]
(Alta)
Although indirectly, it was a country with which I had a surprising connection. The fact that the heroes did not participate in the war meant that they would likely become the central figure in the fight against demons in the future. I didn't like the state religion, but I guessed it's best to just wait and see how things went.
I know that it is somewhere at the national level, but I would like a little more detailed information.
[This was the northernmost city of the Elgant Divine Country. It was the capital city when it was destroyed by the Demon King several generations ago. Since then, it has been considered unlucky and has never been rebuilt and has been left abandoned ever since. To get to the current Divine City, you have to go quite far south. This is the site of the former cathedral, a hidden underground room that only the Pope could enter.]
(Alta)
I see, that's why there's no one around when I look at the map. And the irony was that, after having come back from a world that was like a ruin, we were now back in a ruin again. I'm not a ruins fanatic.
I suddenly remembered and looked behind me. There was a door here with the same design as the one we used in the Gate of Boundary. When we opened the door, we saw the same swirling light as we saw on the other side, and it seemed like we could go to the other world again.
"It doesn't seem like you'll be unable to use it for a while after using it once." (Jin)
"Yes. With this we can go to the other world whenever you want." (Maria)
"...*shake-shake*" (Grayman)
The Grayman didn't seem to want to return to the other world and he shook his head vigorously.
As an aside, the Grayman remained gray even after coming to this world. I was hoping that maybe the Grayman would get some color, so I was a little disappointed. But I didn't think we could call him Grayman if he had color. It was a crisis that the Grayman's identity was collapsing. What should we call him? Color-man? No, I think... Hueman[1]... is better, considering the sound of the word.
"Now that I know where we are, I think it's time to head back to the mansion, shall we?" (Jin)
"Yes. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to your return, Jin-sama." (Maria)
So, we decided to activate Portal and return to Kastal's mansion.
When we returned to the Kastal mansion, 50 maids were lined up in a row.
"Jin-sama, welcome home" (x50 + α)
The maids all bowed and sang together. Apart from that, a large number of my subordinates had also gathered, including the main parties—Sakura, Mio, Dora, and Sera—, the Kastal adventurer group, the Estia explorer group, familiars from all over the country, and even members of the royal family.
"Oh, we're back." (Jin)
When I replied, everyone let out a whoosh and gathered around me.
"Jin-kun, welcome back... I'm so glad you made it back safely..." (Sakura)
"Welcome back. We've been able to talk telepathically, but the real thing is still the best, right?" (Mio)
(Yay, Master is back!) (Dora)
"Thank you for your hard work. It seems like a lot has happened, right?" (Sera)
"Ah, let's talk about the details later. Also, a lot of interesting things are happening." (Jin)
Sakura and the rest of the main party were happy to see me back. I would tell about my trip later.
Next, I looked towards the maids and spoke to Lucia, who was at the front.
"I heard that while I was fighting, Lucia and the others gave instructions to my subordinates to collect status. That was a great help, thank you for your hard work." (Jin)
"Yes, thank you for the kind words. My Lord, I have been waiting for your safe return." (Lucia)
Lucia and the other maids bowed deeply. During the battle with Orihara, the maids apparently gave instructions to their subordinates and efficiently gathered stats. At that time, there was no support from Alta, so it must have been quite difficult.
[I'm sorry.]
(Alta)
No, Alta, I don't blame you for your action. As I said before, Orihara is the one who is out of the ordinary.
After that, I called out to the Kastal adventurers, the Estia explorers, and the monster familiars in order. I also called out to those who were not affiliated with any other group but were under my control. They also seemed to have worked hard to gather status in my battle against Orihara, so I should give them a proper reward.
After exchanging greetings, we decided to disband for the time being, and I decided to take a bath for the first time in a while. Apparently they were planning on having a big party after I got out of the bath. In the other world, I ate Mio's food, but it was lonely to eat with Maria in a colorless world. By the way, Tamo-san's staple food was Hollow Beast (not that), and the Grayman didn't eat anything.
"Phew..." (Jin)
It had been a while since I had a nice, relaxing bath, it felt so good that I couldn't help but moan. It would be pretty tough to just wipe it with a wet towel for days on end. Just to be clear, if I had transported a bathtub and hot water via ‹Infinite Storage›, I could have taken a bath in the other world, but I thought it might be a bit risky to go that far, so I decided not to.
"How is it? Does it feel good?" (Jin)
"...*nod nod*" (Grayman)
This was a trivial matter, but the Grayman also took a bath with me. He looked like a child and didn't seem to have a gender, so I decided to put him in the men's bath for the time being. The Grayman was short, so when he sat down, the water came up to his face level, so he sat on my lap.
I had no regrets about bringing the Grayman along, but I was a bit worried about how to handle him in the future. After all, we couldn't communicate properly. It seemed like he could communicate, but the only way the Grayman could express himself was through gestures, and even then, he was limited to really simple things like "yes" or "no."
"Is there anything you want to do now?" (Jin)
"...*falling*" (Grayman)
The Grayman just tilted his head.
"It's not like you're causing any trouble, so I don't mind if you don't do anything, but..." (Jin)
"...*falling*" (Grayman)
The Grayman consumed very little energy to survive. Since he didn't need to eat anything, he didn't show any interest in our meals. He was small and didn't get in the way, didn't cost food, and didn't excrete. The Grayman had nothing to do and he was not a nuisance either, so he was in a delicate position.
"...*falling*" (Grayman)
"Ah!" (Jin)
—Splash!—
When the Grayman tilted his head, he fell off my lap. He was completely off balance and gurgling and drowning, so I quickly picked him up and rescued him.
"Haah!" (Jin)
The one who let out a big sigh was the rescued Grayman. Or rather, he had now become a Hueman— Yes, he was drowning, and just when I thought I had rescued him, before I knew it, the Grayman had become a Hueman. So, to put it simply, the Grayman had been given color.
"Huh?" (Grayman)
The Hueman tilted his head again, but this time there was a line attached to it.
The Grayman, or rather Hueman, hadn't changed in height or overall appearance, but his skin had become colored and his eyes had turned black. His hair was still gray, but it was now medium-long. And overall, he felt more energized. When I picked him up, I noticed that he had turned into a girl.
[Master, please check his status.]
(Alta)
Hmm? Let's see...
Name : None (Lv1)
Gender : Female
Age : 0
Race : Graymen (otherworlder) ×1024
Skill :
Characteristics: ‹Sympathy› ‹Dilute›
Title : Transferee
Surprisingly, even the Hueman's status display had changed. To be more precise, I should say that (s)he conformed to the specifications of this world. The characteristics section remained, and (s)he seemed to have a count of the number of people, but it was generally in line with the specifications of this world.
Really, what happened?
Author's Note (Preface)
This is the first new special ability after 83 chapters (‹Parallel Mind› first manifested in Chapter 29).
Count it yourself and you'll be amazed!
Author's Note (Afterword)
There is one more chapter left in this volume.
Since we have made some progress in this chapter, there will be another chapter where the story does not progress.
This chapter has moved the story forward, so it's another chapter where the story doesn't move forward. The next chapter will continue the story.
Translation Note
[1] No pun intended. The original is 彩人 (saijin), which means color person. I was looking for another word then the word "hue" came to mind. The "Color-man" in the sentence is originally written as カラー人 (karaa jin) using the borrowed word of color (カラー (karaa) = color), so I want to avoid using color here.
(But I'm quite satisfied with it and I'm glad I chose "Grayman")
