Surprise update![1]
I understand the reaction to Orihara and the upset people feel when there's an opponent in a Musou[3] that only partially poses a threat to the main character.
That's why I thought I should update the battle with Orihara within a week to let everyone have a sense of relief.
This is a special case because he is facing Orihara. For better or worse, he is a special character.
The battle between Jin Shindo and Akihito Orihara was very different from the straightforward turn-based battles you see in fantasy sword and magic RPGs. It could be described as a "Battle manga after reached its climax."
"Hk!"
All they could hear was the sounds of blows and short breathing. This time, Shindo and Orihara were engaged in an offensive and defensive battle at the rate of dozens of shots per second.
This was the dimension of the battle between Shindo and Orihara if they raised their stats to their maximum.
In battles on this level, tricks like skill or magic don't exist. No, they can't exist. Why is that? Simply put, it's slow.
Normally, when activating a skill, you needed to be aware that you were activating that skill. Of course, skills that were constantly active were a different matter, but skills like [Techniques] always required you to be conscious of when they were activated.
"Hmph!"
Magic, on the other hand, is much slower. In most cases, chanting is required to activate magic. Even if you can skip the chanting with the [Chantless] skill, you still need to think, "Use [Chantless] magic." As a result, it’s impossible for the magic to be cast faster than the skill itself. Of course, since magic could be used in this space to begin with, there was little need to discuss the drawbacks of magic...
That aside, by now, you probably understand. In a battle where more than 10 shots are fired per second, how much time does this "being conscious" result in loss? To be honest, while doing that you'll get hit more than 10 times, so there's no way you can use skills or magic.
For example, Shindo had a skill called [Flash Step] that he liked to use. Using this skill, it is possible to close a distance of nearly 10 meters in an instant. However, the downside is that the scenery changes instantly, and it takes time to recognize it. The continuity of what we see plays a fairly important role in human perception. In a fight at this level, even that brief moment could be a fatal opening.
"Tch!"
For the same reason, neither Shindo nor Orihara used weapons. Using a weapon means you gain a greater reach than your body allows, but in exchange you lose agility. In this level of combat, agility is worth more than a little reach. Even a tenth of a second delay in your attack or next move can make you vulnerable to an attack. To make the most of the specs, weapons other than your own body would actually be a hindrance.
"Guh!" (Shindo)
Now, Shindo was unable to block Orihara's kick and was blown away.
—Bang!—
As a result, Shindo crashed into the building behind him, completely shattering it. In the next moment, Orihara, who was heading towards the building, and Shindo, who had regained his balance, approached each other again and resumed their exchange of punches.
Shindo suffered no damage from crashing into the building. To begin with, he said "unable to block the kick," but to be more accurate, Shindo jumped back because he thought he would not be able to block the kick. This reduced the power of the kick, and at the same time, the damage was further reduced by a cushion called soft landing[2].
And by creating some distance, even if only for a short time, he was able to use the [Auto HP Recovery] skill to successfully recover most of the damage that had been reduced by the kick. Of course, Orihara had been given equal time as well, and the damage that Shindo had accumulated up until that point had also been recovered—
"Heheh!" (Orihara)
Since the stalemate continued with neither side able to land any effective blows, their HP was not decreasing significantly. Even if it did decrease, considering the current recovery abilities of the two of them, a considerable amount of HP would be recovered in just a second, which would make the stalemate continue even longer. Because of this, no conclusion had been reached and both sides were prepared for a protracted battle. Therefore, they didn't keep their distance but tried to reduce the opponent's HP through close-range combat.
"Phew!"
During the battle, Orihara's thrust was parried by Shindo, and the bullet grazed a nearby building. That alone created a large hole in the building, and it collapsed.
Although the building collapsed very easily, that did not mean it was fragile. Strictly speaking, it seemed that it had been abandoned for a long time, and a dilapidated building was not particularly sturdy, but it still retained its shape well and was not the kind of thing that would easily collapse. It's simply that the attack power of Shindo and Orihara was on a completely different level.
Although it was not necessarily proof of this, most of the buildings surrounding where the two were fighting had been destroyed by the two of them, and countless large craters had been opened up on the roads making it impossible for cars to pass through. As time passed and the battle between the two intensified, the marks of destruction gradually became more widespread.
"Damn it!"
However, the two fighters were trying to do their best to avoid destroying the surrounding buildings. You might think it's a bit late to start now after destroying everything around, but destroying something is basically the same as using up that much energy. It was obvious that the battle between the two would be protracted, so it would be foolish to expend their energy on something like "destroying something". Therefore, they didn't destroy things pointlessly (unless they had a reason to do so). Right now, the overwhelming damage being inflicted on the surroundings was—to the two of them—the minimum damage that would occur during the fight.
"Haa!" (Both)
And now, their fists collided head-on, and the impact blew away several surrounding buildings. Even this was minimal damage.
Three hours had passed since they both began fighting. Meanwhile, the two of them continued their offensive and defensive battles without a moment's rest, slowly but surely chipping away at each other's HP.
So far, the situation seemed to be somewhat unfavorable for Shindo. It's fair to say that the two of them were almost equally skilled. And when it came to a battle on this level, even that small difference in "almost" could make all the difference between victory and defeat. In addition, Orihara had higher stats. This difference in stats was not huge, but just like with skill, it was the small difference that determines the outcome of the match. And when you added up the slight differences in skill and status, it came down to Shindo being at a slight disadvantage.
"Ha!" (Shindo)
To be "slightly disadvantaged" in a battle of this dimension was, frankly, tantamount to losing. It was a difference that gradually emerged when the strengths of both sides were clear. It was a difference that emerged after always fighting at full strength. It was basically impossible to reverse this.
The only way to turn around such a difference was to use a clever strategy or catch the opponent off guard. However, at this level of battle, clever strategies were meaningless (slow), and Orihara did not let his guard down for even a moment. To begin with, Orihara didn't think of himself as being superior to Shindo. Orihara saw himself as the challenger. He never let his guard down from the start. Therefore, this difference could be reversed.
Shindo was fighting with full knowledge of this. If things continued like this, it would take time, but he would definitely lose— But still, never rest your hands, never rest your feet, never rest your eyes, never rest your mind, or you will be defeated. Shindo hated running away. Of course, he hated losing, but there were no guarantees in a fight. There would be times when he lost. But he never wanted to give up, ran away, and lost. He believed that if he was going to lose, he should lose head-on.
It's just, this was something that needed to be said. Shindo had no intention of losing at all.
"Guh!" (Shindo)
That being said, it was also true that Shindo had gradually been taking more hits. Although it could not be said to be an effective hit, the frequency of the pain had clearly increased compared to the beginning.
"Heheh!" (Orihara)
During this battle, Orihara would sometimes burst out laughing, just like he was doing now. He was not laughing because he had an advantage. He was laughing simply because he was enjoying his fight with Shindo. For example, even if Orihara had been in a disadvantageous position, he would still have been smiling.
"Tch!" (Shindo)
On the other hand, Shindo was not smiling. This was only natural, as Shindo did not find any "fun" in fighting Orihara.
Unusually for Shindo, he looked a bit anxious. It's natural to get impatient as the damage you take increases in a long-term battle, but that didn't mean SHINDOU's attacks become sloppy. Shindo decided to focus a little more on defense and reduce the amount of damage he took by slowing down his attacks. Of course, this only served to buy him time.
Then another two hours passed.
"Heheh!" (Orihara)
"Haa!" (Shindo)
Shindo blocked the kick that Orihara launched with a smile on his face, and instead launches a punch at Orihara's face. Naturally, it was dodged, but it just barely grazed Orihara, leaving a red line on his cheek. Although it was an injury that would heal quickly, it was clear that damage had accumulated.
As you can see, the current situation was "Shindo has a slight advantage." Shindo's received hits were clearly decreasing, while Orihara's received hits were gradually increasing. Shindo managed to turn the tables despite being at a disadvantage, something that would be impossible in a battle of this magnitude.
About four hours into the battle, Shindo's hits gradually began to decrease, while Orihara's hits began to increase.
"Heheh!" (Orihara)
Even though the situation was now turning unfavorable for him, Orihara was laughing as if it was natural. This was a bigger blow than when Orihara had the advantage earlier. However, unlike Shindo, Orihara did not allocate any of his abilities to defense. If this time Orihara focused his energy on defense, Shindo would recover more than the energy he had spent on defense. This was merely a way to buy time, and was essentially meaningless.
And Orihara's disadvantage grew greater as time went on. When Shindo was at a disadvantage, each person's HP would decrease by a fixed amount, but the decrease was greater for Shindo. On the other hand, currently his opponent's HP was not decreasing at a constant rate, but it had gradually decreased significantly.
To sum up this phenomenon in one word, it could only be that either Shindo was getting stronger during battle, or Orihara was getting weaker during battle.
Had Shindo usurped Orihara's status? Currently, Shindo's [Power of Life and Death] had been reduced to level 1 due to the effects of being transported to another world, so in order to steal his opponent's status, he must be aware of the activation of the special ability and got within 2 meters. It was not impossible, but taking such a risk would not be worth it for such a small gain in status. In addition, because Orihara possessed Shindo's power, the power was extremely ineffective against him. It would take even more time.
So how did Shindo get stronger during battle? To explain this, we needed to go back a little in time.
After Shindo finished his telepathic conversation with Maria, Maria quickly teleported to Kastal's mansion.
"Lucia-san, Jin-sama is in danger. Please gather Liaison Officer immediately!" (Maria)
"What?! Yes! I understand. [Summon]!"
When Maria entered the mansion, she went to Lucia, the head maid, and gave her some brief instructions. Although Lucia was shocked by what she was told, she quickly changed her mind and immediately "summoned" the maids known as "Liaison Officer".
"Maria, what exactly happened?" (Lucia)
"Jin-sama has been forcibly transported by what appears to be an enemy. In the new location, he is unable to use magic, and some of his special abilities are limited in function. There, he finds an enemy with stats comparable to Jin-sama." (Maria)
"Wh-what do you mean?! Is Master okay?!" (Lucia)
Not only Lucia, but all the maids present were shocked. To them, Shindo was an absolute being. Even if they were told that there was a being comparable to Shindo, it was hard to believe.
"He's safe for now. It was my fault that I was unable to fully protect him. I will be reprimanded later, but for now please prioritize this report."Maria
"……I understand" (Lucia)
Maria was Shindo's bodyguard. Allowing Shindo to be teleported right in front of her eyes was an unbelievable blunder. Maria was even prepared to die as atonement if only Shindo returned safely. But right now, her first priority was to act for Shindo.
"It would be a different story if he was able to use his special abilities to their full potential, but due to the enemy's strategy, he was being forced into a simple stat-based brawl. Jin-sama says, 'It will be a close battle, where it's unclear whether I can win or not. From my experience, I think I'll probably win by the skin of our teeth.'" (Maria)
"...So, what should we do?" (Lucia)
Lucia impatiently got to the point. There was no doubt that they were worried about Shindo's current state, but what's more important was what they did, what they could do for Shindo. Since Maria had gathered the Liaison Officers, they decide that there must be something they could do.
"Anyway, we'll gather some stats." (Maria)
"So, we just need to transfer our status to the master?" (Lucia)
Thanks to Shindo's special ability [Bond of Contract], status was granted to his subordinates. If all he had to do was collect that status, then Lucia was willing to devote all of her own status to him. And the other girls (maids) here felt the same way.
"Unfortunately, that is not the case. Currently, Jin-sama's powers are malfunctioning, and he is unable to recover the status he gave us." (Maria)
In fact, if Shindo could recover the status he had given to his subordinates, there was no way he would lose to Orihara. This was what Orihara was most concerned about in the battle against Shindo. That was why Orihara chose to seal Shindo's special abilities, even if it meant using a secret technique called transporting him to another world.
"So what are we going to do? Do we have a plan?" (Lucia)
"Yes. To put it simply, defeat monsters. The status you gain from defeating monsters will be sent to Jin-sama." (Maria)
"? We can't return the status to Master, right?" (Lucia)
"Yes. However, it seems that sending our status to Jin-sama and sending the status by defeating enemies to Jin-sama are two different functions. And the latter is not disabled." (Maria)
Currently, due to a malfunction of his special abilities, it was not possible to share status with Jin using [Bond of Contract]. However, the defect was extremely limited, and it was still possible to share special abilities through [Bond of Contract]. And the status taken through [Power of Life and Death] would head to Shindo regardless of the status shared through [Bond of Contract]. In other words, the status they had now couldn't be sent to Shindo, but the status they got now could be sent. So of course—
"In other words, you are saying that we should mobilize all of the master's subordinates and carry out a large-scale monster hunt?" (Lucia)
"That's right. However, if there is one correction to be made, it is not to 'mobilize' at all." (Maria)
"What do you mean?" (Lucia)
Lucia believed that everyone who was able to fight should take up a weapon and go out to hunt monsters. In fact, she even believed that even those who could not fight should go to the battlefield and provide some assistance.
"Apparently, Alta is busy responding to the location where Jin-sama has been teleported to and is therefore unable to provide support to us. It would be dangerous if we did not leave behind the Liaison Officers who manage the network under control." (Maria)
The job of the maids known as "Liaison Officer" was basically to manage their subordinates. The structure was pyramid-shaped with the head maid, Lucia, at the top, and each manager had multiple subordinates, who in turn have multiple subordinates, creating a hierarchical structure similar to that of a company. And at the very bottom were the adventurers and other field workers. The job of the Liaison Officer was to understand the current situation of the field workers and provide them with assistance.
To clarify, although it was a hierarchical structure, this was based solely on aptitude, and it was not strictly a hierarchical relationship; it was more like an image of a support center. For example, if an adventurer maid was in danger during battle, the Liaison Officer can use his or her authority to use [Summon] to ensure an emergency escape.
And since Alta was currently unable to act, it would be far too dangerous for the entire army to charge without Alta's assistance or a Liaison Officer.
"However, when I think about Master..." (Lucia)
"This is an order from Jin-sama. 'I will definitely return victorious. Until then, do not neglect to manage your subordinates. On top of that, please send me as many statuses as possible.' He wants us to avoid overmobilizing and to avoid causing unnecessary damage. We don't have much time left. Enough with the questions and answers. Please start contacting your subordinates via the Liaison Officer." (Maria)
"Ah! ...That's right. We don't have time right now. Everyone, please share this information via the network!" (Lucia)
In response to Lucia's instructions, the liason officers (operators) all replied "Yes!" and began telepathically communicating with their assigned subordinates.
(Maria-chan! What happened to Master?) (Mio)
(He's nowhere to be found on the map, and telepathy doesn't work. Alta isn't responding either. What on earth is going on?) (Sera)
(Master! Where is he?!) (Dora)
(Maria-chan, you've also transported to another location, so I thought you might know something...) (Mio)
While the Liaison Officers were contacting the subordinates, Maria received telepathic messages from Mio, Sera, Dora, and Sakura.
(Is Sakura-sama also with you?) (Maria)
(Yes... I'm done here... After everything was over, I went after him, but Jin-kun wasn't there, which was strange...) (Sakura)
(I'm glad that Sakura-sama is safe. … Jin-sama has been teleported by the enemy. So…) (Maria)
Maria again explained the events that happened to Shindo.
(It's amazing how they managed to catch Master off guard... Perhaps they're someone Master was wary of?) (Mio)
(That's what Jin-sama said. For something to happen right in front of me... It's a blunder that even death cannot atone for.) (Maria)
(I'm sure Master wouldn't want that to happen.) (Mio)
(But still, I can't forgive myself.) (Maria)
Of course, Shindo didn't think that Maria's actions were a mistake. In fact, he was glad that she didn't get caught up in Orihara's trap. In the current battle between Shindo and Orihara, even Maria (her rival Sera), who is renowned as the strongest of her subordinates, would be a hindrance. The day when Maria truly becomes Jin's bodyguard was still a long way off.
(Dora wants to go to Master too!) (Dora)
(If you can't use magic, it'll be difficult to get to Jin-kun...) (Sakura)
(Yes, Jin-sama said that he can't use [Portal] either. It's also cut off on the map, so I don't know what to do.) (Maria)
Maria said with regret that she really wanted to go to Shindo right away.
(But it's not like you have no other options, right? After all, the one who set that trap was able to ambush him... But right now, isn't it more urgent to gather status?)
(That's true. If Master doesn't win this battle, there's no point in having a way to return home. At the very least, we won't be able to come to the rescue in time.) (Mio)
Since they didn't know where Shindo was, there was no way to send any help. Instead, it would be more effective to recover some status to increase Shindo's chances of survival even if just a little. Although she hadn't told anyone, Maria had an idea that might lead her to Shindo. Since Shindo had turned off telepathy, this was currently a meaningless method, but—
(Now then, like the other adventurers, you will all be assigned tasks, so please focus on defeating monsters.) (Maria)
(Yes, of course.) (Sera)
(Yes... Leave it to me...) (Sakura?)
(Dora will do it too!) (Dora)
(Okkey) (Mio?)
Thus, the main party also decided to join the status recovery operation.
(By the way, Mio-chan. What happened to the Eldia Kingdom? I left a lot of things behind as well.) (Maria)
As they left the Summoning Chamber, Jin was teleported, so the retrieval of the royal family was interrupted. In terms of priority for Maria, it was not even comparable to Shindo, so she had completely forgotten about it until now.
(Tamo-san was collecting royal family members. The ones with the most serious injuries were given priority....) (Mio)
(As expected of Tamo-san. I'm embarrassed at how upset I was.) (Maria)
(Well, that's what happens with Maria-chan...) (Mio)
Ever since Shindo was transported, Tamo-san had been guessing Shindo's intentions and acting accordingly. This was different from the distraught Maria had been. Maria felt a little embarrassed about this.
(We've left everything else to the dragon knights who came over. They know about the demons, so everything is going smoothly.) (Sera)
(If you can leave it to the dragon knights, let's put that on hold.) (Maria)
It didn't have the same priority as Shindo, but even if they ignored everything else except Shindo, things would get complicated when Shindo returned. They would need to give it some thought. And, as much as they could, delegate to others.
(Now, could you all please defeat the dragons in the Dragon Forest? It's been a while, and dragons are gathering in the Dragon Forest again...)
Dragons gathered in the Dragon Forest around Dragonnewt (Dragonnewt's Secret Realm). Although Jin and his companions had wiped them out once, the dragons were starting to gather again. Over the years, the Dragon Forest itself had started to make dragons appear (pop), so if they were left alone, they would be surrounded by dragons again. However, now that they wanted status, it was something they actually wanted. In terms of strength, the most stable strategy would be to use the main party.
(Dora will do more!) (Dora)
Dora, who hated dragons, showed enthusiasm. The other members were also used to dragon hunting (you get used to it after defeating 50,000), so they didn't seem nervous. They immediately teleported and began dragon hunting.
After that, the task of assigning hunting grounds to each adventurer other than the main party began.
The basic policy was to distribute subordinates to deserted areas where monsters lived. Since there wasn't much time, it was not like they could just accept a request from the adventurer's guild and then go and subjugate the monster. However, some monsters were targets for extermination on request, and if they clashed it could be troublesome.
Additionally, it was considered common sense among adventurers to not destroy an entire hunting ground. The main reason was that humans were disrupting a relatively stable ecosystem for their own convenience, so no one knows what would happen. If things went wrong, it could even lead to monsters going berserk (stun beats).
However, Shindo often ignored this common sense and annihilated all the monsters in the hunting grounds. First of all, Shindo didn't know this common knowledge. Shindo was only an adventurer for a relatively short period of time until his life was stable, and after that he only took on periodic gathering and synthesis jobs to keep his adventurer qualifications. And since Shindo checked on the adventurers before Alta's powers had manifested, there were many leaks in the information. Therefore, Claude's group and the Kastal adventurer slaves who were currently engaged in legitimate adventurer activities were more knowledgeable about common sense for adventurers.
Let's get back to the topic.
Wanting to avoid trouble as much as possible, Maria and Lucia targeted a remote hunting ground far from civilization. Normally it would be difficult to get to such a remote hunting ground, but Maria and her group had [Portal]. And their subordinates in each region were trying to increase the number of places they could reach using [Portal] as much as possible. Therefore, when a situation like this occurred, there were a large number of "remote hunting grounds" that could be named as candidates.
(Claude's group should split into two parties of four and head to the Dhuz Forest in the north of Kastal and Cradia Cave in the south. Claude's group who can use [Light Magic] should be in charge of the Cradia Cave.)
(Cynthia, please take charge of the 32nd floor of the labyrinth. With your current status, that should be the most efficient floor for recovering your status.)
(Tiramisu will be in charge of Maneater Forest in the Gashas Kingdom. Maple will be in charge of the area around Grand Volcano in the Principality of Rigant . Chocolate-san will be in charge of her local area, Mount Ende. They get along well, so there's no problem with each of them being in charge of their own place.)
(Tsukuyo-san, Tokoyami-san, I'd like you to take charge of the boss of the labyrinth. With Tokoyami-san's [Spatial Manipulation], it should be quite easy to deal with him.)
The Liaison Officer guided the subordinates to the hunting grounds that suit them best.
Most of the subordinates who were combat-capable were taking part in this operation. On the other hand, those without combat capabilities were carrying out Chamber of Advanced Commerce duties (currently being scaled down) to fill in the gaps left by those who were fighting. Since those with only partial combat experience would only increase the unnecessary burden of management, it was decided that they would simply do their regular duties without fighting. Surprisingly, Shindo had a large number of non-combat personnel under his command, so even if more than half of his subordinates were taking part in operations, they could still manage to handle the scaled-down workload.
As his subordinates began to assign tasks and subjugate monsters, his status increased rapidly. Since they couldn't communicate with Shindo telepathically, they didn't know how much status needed. So, they had no choice but to keep sending as much as they could to Shindo without any restrictions.
While Lucia was in charge of command at Kastal's mansion, Maria went out to hunt monsters like any other adventurer. In truth, Lucia also wanted to hunt monsters for Shindo, but since she was second only to Alta in managing the subordinates, it couldn't be helped that it was best to leave the lead to Lucia.
(This is Claude. I have annihilated all the monsters in the Cradia Cave.) (Claude)
(Thank you for your hard work. Next, I'd like you to take charge of the Gein Cemetry in the east.)
(…The cemetery? I'll do my best…) (Claude)
Claude and his party were used to dealing with groups of monsters, so they wiped out the first hunting ground and moved on to their next assignment. Starting with Claude and his party, the other subordinates also reported their subjugation one after another, so the Liaison Officers became busy again.
Usually, if you continued to defeat monsters in one hunting ground, or eliminated them all, a rare monster would appear as a bonus. However, in this particular case, the bonus monsters were ignored because they took a long time to appear (pop), and there was no time to wait for one of them. Since it was originally a remote area far from civilization, it would be easy to defeat them if they wanted to later.
Right now, their priority was to defeat as many monsters as possible and send as many status points as possible to Shindo. Being in a remote area, there was no one watching, so Shindo's subordinates used all their strength without worrying about what others thought, slaughtering monsters one after the other.
(Jin-sama, please be safe...)
It was not just Maria. Everyone, from those taking part in the battle, those providing support like Lucia and the Liaison Officers, and even those performing their regular duties at Chamber of Advanced Commerce, were praying for Shindo's safety.
Thus, with the prayers of his subordinates, his status gradually built up, gradually closing the gap between Shindo and Orihara, until finally they managed to reverse the situation. Originally there wasn't much difference in the stats of the two, but Shindo's status, which continued to increase even now, had a huge impact. Orihara's hits continued to increase, and finally—
"Gulp!" (Orihara)
The first clean hit of the fight was delivered to Orihara's stomach.
"Uoooooooooooooo!!!" (Orihara)
Naturally, Shindo was not the type to miss the opening created by a clean hit. The moment Orihara stopped moving for just a second, Shindo slammed dozens of punches into him.
"Ughhhh!!!" (Orihara)
And once the situation was set, it would be difficult to turn it around. He launched successive attacks so quickly that Orihara had no time to regain his balance.
"Uoooooooooooooo!!!" (Orihara)
Orihara couldn't do anything anymore. The repeated punches gave him no time to regain his balance.
"Uoooooooooooooo!!!" (Orihara)
Orihara's HP was decreasing at a much faster pace than before.
To be honest, it would not be an exaggeration to say that they had been whittling each other's HP to create this state. If they had continued whittling each other's HP like this, they would have had to keep fighting for at least three days. When the stats were so close, the battle really did take time. But now that balance had been broken, all that remains was to launch continuous attacks.
"Uoooooooooooooo!!!" (Orihara)
After a long series of attacks—
"Here we go!!!" (Shindo)
Shindo's powerful blow hits Orihara's face. And finally, Orihara's HP reached 0.
Author's Note
Sword and sorcery fantasy? Ah, he's dead. He was a good guy.
The opinions in the comments section are scary. There are some that are pretty close, but...
Oh well, I'll update as usual next Sunday.
Also, this chapter is not the final chapter. There are still demon kings, goddesses, and so on, right? The Crimson Emperor... that's fine.
Translation Note
[1] To comply with this, this chapter is published early, but next chapter will be on regular schedule next week.
[2] 柔らかいビル Not sure what it means (soft building?). Edit: as the suggestion from Otaku Hikikomori, I'll use "soft landing"
