Thirty seconds after everyone had burrowed under the blankets, Reina jumped up with a yell.
"I don't have Mile's mysterious magic, Alarm Magic, cast on me, and unlike Mile's, my barrier magic doesn't last long, and it will wear off if I sleep!" (Reina)
"Ah……" (Mavis + Pauline)

Mile was astonished by Marcella's search magic.
The search magic that Marcella used was not taught to her by Mile. Long ago, during their time at Ekland Academy, Marcella and her companions had remembered a "search magic" that appeared in Japanese Stories that Mile had told them. During the period of obscurity after Mile...Adelle had gone, Marcella and her companions came up with this original magic and put it to practical use. Just to be safe, they had changed the name slightly from "Search Magic" that came up in Mile's story to "Enemy Search Magic". ...Because it was their own original.
In Mile's story, it was simply described as a fictional thing that appeared in the story, "A magic spell that lets you know the enemy's location," and there was no mention whatsoever of its principles or mechanisms. They came up with all of this on their own, emitting magical power to detect reflected signals from living things, or firing short pulses all around, thus after trial and error, they were able to put it to practical use. ...Without any help, just the three of them, they studied in secret so as not to be noticed by the others and practiced away from the prying eyes of others... All of this was for the sake of following Adelle...Mile, also for everyone to survive and for them to meet Mile...
Even for Mile, her exploration magic had undergone several changes, from a voice-guided car navigation system to a PPI system, and finally to a sonar system. This was also quite easy for her because she had seen such things many times in anime and movies in her previous life and because the Nanomachinesess had shown overwhelming favoritism towards her. They had no knowledge of their previous lives, had been born and raised in this world, and had no favouritism from the Nanomachinesess, as ordinary humans with authority level 1... As for the display method, Mile had taught them the PPI method, its sector scan, and the sonar method after they met again, but when it came to the part about short-term pulse oscillation and receiving the reflected waves, they had adopted a more complete method than Mile, who didn't know the basic mechanism, showing their genius. And now they were using it better than Mile.
Besides, the members of Wonder Trio were the daughters of lower-ranking nobles, merchants, and poor farmers in the countryside. And since none of them were heirs or anything, it was not like they were particularly passionate about sports. ...But why did they push themself so hard and struggle so hard? However, they did have one advantage. They had been listening to Mile's fantastical stories since they were 10 years old, when their mind was still flexible.

To them, they were greatly indebted to their best friend, who had blown away the possibility of marrying someone they didn't want for the sake of their family—even becoming a concubine or a mistress—and given them a future where they could marry someone they wanted. ...With that, likely the family's secret knowledge, and the extraordinary abilities of the Goddess' beloved child...
In fact, to begin with, Mile was a great hero who had saved the country, no, the world. She saved the world while serving as both Angel-sama and the hero... but to Marcella and her companions, Mile was simply a former classmate and best friend. They didn't need any other titles or relationships. Mile was gradually moved by the replies from Marcella and her companions, but...
"We are close to visual range! All hands, prepare to attack!" (Marcella)
"Yes!" (Monica + Aureana)
Marcella conducted in a low voice, while Monica and Aureana responded in an equally low voice.
"No, please let me indulge in my emotions a little more!!" (Mile)
Mile complained with a slightly pouty look on her face, but... Marcella and her companions were also excited as this was their first time hunting with Mile. However, Marcella and her companions were aware that they were not particularly talented hunters and were merely average, so they were able to switch gears quickly when it came to work.
Never let your guard down or become complacent, and make sure you fulfill your role, regardless of your mental state. Their mistakes would result in the deaths of their teammates... and crush their dreams. That alone was simply unacceptable. ...Who was not allowed to do this? Of course, to "yourself"!!
"Ice magic, ammo type. Fire!"
