"Well, that's amazing, Fia. You're a genius at misleading people and throwing them into confusion. You're able to create situations that are many times more amazing than the worst scenarios I could imagine, so I take my hat off to your talent." (Lloyd)
In the midst of an uncertain silence, Lloyd spoke up cheerfully.
Come to think of it, I had followed his advice and changed the topic to the meat tour of Kingdom of Dithal, I remembered this and glaring at him.
I wondered if this uncomfortable silence was something Lloyd had created.
If that was the case, Lloyd's witty attitude towards the saint must have had a strange effect once again.
When I frowned, thinking that this was difficult, Lloyd just grinned and shrugged his shoulders.
Then, he raised his hands as if in surrender, looked around at the Saints around her, and opened his mouth.
"As she herself said, Fia is a knight. Her hair is red, which is rare, but not all people with red hair are saints." (Lloyd)
From the expressions on the Saints' faces, I realized that they all seemed to have assumed that I was a Saint.
"Oh my, what mischief Lloyd can do!"
In fact, I was a saint and I was hiding that fact, so it was a dangerous situation.
In contrast to me, who was wide-eyed, the Saints were glaring at Lloyd with annoyance, but I decided to leave them alone, knowing that it was his own fault.
However, Lloyd himself didn't seem to mind and just smiled brightly at the Saints.
"Sorry for the prank. Our Priscilla received a unique upbringing at the Cathedral, so she's not good at interacting with others. However, there's a limit to what one person can do, so from now on, we'll have to cooperate with you guys and do various things." (Lloyd)
The Saints appeared to be listening intently to what Lloyd was saying, and he continued speaking enthusiastically.
"So, I set up today's event to help us become closer, but somehow, the atmosphere quickly became tense. I tried to make a joke to lighten the mood, but it didn't have the fun I had expected. I'm sorry if I offended anyone because of my poor interpersonal skills." (Lloyd)
Lloyd looked dejected after saying that, but judging from their previous relationship, I thought it was completely an act.
Lloyd had complicated feelings towards the Saint, so I thought this time the saint's sarcastic feelings came to the forefront, resulting in the black humor.
I was suspicious, but the Saints had looks on their faces that said, "Well, it can't be helped," so they must be more innocent than Lloyd.
Lloyd noticed that the atmosphere in the room had become softer as the expressions of the Saints softened, and he smiled cheerfully.
"From now on, Priscilla plans to live in the royal capital. Depending on the circumstances, she may start making frequent visits to the royal castle. When that happens, you two will likely become Priscilla's first confidants, so I would like you to get along well with this girl." (Lloyd)
The Saints looked pleased with Lloyd's pleading attitude, but Priscilla herself raised her chin in dissatisfaction.
"I have always received the best education as a Saint at the Cathedral. There is nothing I can learn from other Saints." (Priscilla)
"Priscilla..." (Lloyd)
Seeing that the expressions of the Saints, who had just softened their temper, had turned grim again, Lloyd called out Priscilla's name to warn her.
However, Priscilla's face stiffened as if she was refusing to listen.
"I've always been number one in the Cathedral! No one could beat me! So I'm going to be number one in the next selection meeting too! I don't need anyone to tell me anything!" (Priscilla)
Seeing her stubbornness, I thought Priscilla might be driven by an obsession to become a Chief Saint.
I thought it was a wonderful story that Commander Savis waited for one woman for 10 years, but on the other hand, the woman he was waiting for must have known that she was waiting for him.
That must be a tremendous amount of pressure.
Perhaps ever since she was taken in by the Cathedral at the age of seven, Priscilla had been told that she would become the Chief Saint and had been subjected to rigorous training.
If that's the case, then she must be convinced that she must become Chief Saint no matter what.
As I was thinking about how Priscilla must have had a difficult time, the saints, who looked upset, began to speak as if they could no longer bear it.
"You have great confidence! But you have never been summoned by Chief Saint Hyacinth!"
With that one word, Priscilla's face changed color.
While I was wondering what had happened, the other saints also began to speak about Saint Hyacinthe.
"I don't know how powerful you are, but you are no match for the saints of Chief Saint Hyacinth!"
"Yes, there's no doubt that the next Chief Saint will be born from her!!"
I wondered what was going on, and as I looked back and forth between the Saints and Priscilla, I noticed Lloyd between them, lowering his eyebrows in a troubled manner.
When his eyes met mine, he smiled weakly.
"The rumor is that Empress Hyacinthe is hiding a prized possession. As a Chief Saint, she has high aspirations and a compassionate heart, so the rumor is that she is surrounding herself with a highly capable saint to carry on those principles."
Queen Hyacinthe was the mother of Cerulean and Commander Savis, and the current Chief Saint.
She was also the person Captain Clarissa and other captains were currently going to pick up at the royal villa.
"Of all the Saints known to the Cathedral, there is no doubt that Priscilla is the most powerful. On the other hand, there is almost no information available about the Saint who serves the Queen Dowager, so we don't know the extent of her power. However... it seems that this protégé has extremely vivid red hair that is rare." (Lloyd)
Lloyd continued, staring at my hair.
"In any case, Her Majesty the Queen Dowager should arrive at the Royal Castle in a few days. She will bring everyone except for one Saint who manages the villa, so sooner or later we will be able to meet her treasured daughter." (Lloyd)
Then Lloyd put his mouth close to my ear and whispered in a low voice.
"It has been Cerulean's wish for the past ten years for a future queen to be born from our dukedom. In addition, Priscilla believes that she will become the Chief Saint. So... if the Queen Mother brings a powerful saint with her, a showdown with Priscilla will be inevitable." (Lloyd)
